HI!!! Just was wondering if anyone knew a great thigh toning exercise or any good equipment pieces that would help??? Anything I could do at home would be great!! I know squats and lunges are good for your legs. I am still working on losing my" baby weight" and get toned up especially for summer. =)

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the advice. I just started to do squats and the girls and I love to go on walks and be outside so no problems there. We all have spring fever here =)

You're right--squats and lunges!! With weights, if possible. That's what personal trainers advise. You could purchase some weights to hold--it really improves the results. Do you have a double stroller or jogger so you can get out walking or jogging with the twins?

Hi A. :)

I'm not one to usually give in to cheesy workout DVDs but I needed something I could do at home. I bought the Turbo Jam Beach Body DVD and some weighted gloves to go with it just to give it that extra kick ;) I was pleasantly surprised at how well this workout works! It works the entire body at once...lots of punching moves, kicking moves and stomach tightening to hit all muscle groups. The main stance throughout the workout is a plié so your thighs are constantly engaged. It also includes a ton of lunges and squats while holdong weights. After one of these workouts my thighs burn so bad! But that's the point right? :) The DVD includes 5 workouts and they range from 20 mins to 45 mins. So you can still get in an intense workout in 20 mins on days where you don't have lots of time. Hope this helps and good luck! :)

I've had great luck with this excersize but I don't know if it has a specific name.

Kneel on the floor (doggie-style for lack of better term) and lift one of your bent legs until it's equal to your back making sure you keep the bent leg square with your back, then back down to the floor but not touching the floor and repeat. Do this 10 at a time and then switch sides. This tightens your upper leg and your butt muscles. Make sure that you do not over compensate by switching your weight to the leg that is on the floor when you are lifting your opposite leg. Also, the slower you do it, the better. Good luck. I've had great luck with this and I feel and see almost instant results, (Within a week or 2 you wil notice a difference. You could do it multiple times a day with relative ease and quickness. :)

Good luck. :)

My family was lucky enough to get our hands on a wii fit. If you have a wii, buy the wii fit. It checks your BMI, weight and gives you an estimated age, I am 36 and my wii age is 46 Yikes. My 10 year old and I set it up last night and both did 30 minutes on it. What a work out. It has a yoga, aerobic, strength training, and balance work out components. It is worth the money.
Also, put a chair behind you, and then slowly lower your body into a squat and barely brush the chair with your rear end, then slowly bring yourself back up. It works!
