I have a honda pilot. Not sure the fuel efficiency on it- but I love it. It's easy to get in/out of and I can fit 5 car seats and a booster, plus 1 more passenger up front besides myself.
I am looking for a mini suv/ crossover that has a 4cyl and 3rd row back seat. I need something with decent to great gas milage and was wondering if any of you all had anything like this and reccomended it. I want something that gets close enough to 24/27 mpg so Any thoughts? TIA
Also please add what year you have or are referring to thanks

Honda Odyssey..is teh BEST
I love my CRV but it doesn't have an option for a third row. I would wonder though why you would want one. Say I had one the easiest way to get into it would be from the back. That would get old for my kids pretty quick and I gave birth to monkeys. I guess what I am saying is if someone offers a third row in a mini SUV they are only doing so to appeal to people like you in hopes you don't actually try to use it before you buy.
Even the third row of my van was hard to get into. :(
Oh, by the way we can fit five easily in the two rows we do have.
Yeah I wondered about the Pilot but I didn't know the mpg. It is a bit larger than the CRV.
I just purchased my 2005 Ford Freestyle crossover it comes with many variable options it is an AWD or you can get FWD,there is room just like a mini van without the passenger mini van doors.I would of loved the Mazda5 with the mini van doors but it was too small for my family of 5.
These were only made for 3 yrs(2005-2007) then they went to the Ford TarusX those were made for 2 years(2008-2009).
I have and LOVE my 2007 Honda Pilot!!!! I had a mini van before, which I liked, but am so happy with the Pilot. It has the 3rd row, but fold down nicely for space. It is very comfortable and roomy. We test drove just about every crossover, and this was what worked best for us.
Honda Pilot - 2008. Best thing is the 3rd row seating folds down. We don't need it all the time, so we keep it down. but when its needed, we pop it up quickly. Even I can do it, so its not a feat of strength.
we have a kia sorento and it has the optional 3rd row seat and it gets around 26 mpg they run around 25000 with the 3rd row
