I saw fake lottery tickets at the Family Dollar Store at Beltline & Coit. Check out your local family dollar - good luck!
I have no idea who else to ask :D This site has always been so reliable on getting answers to just about anything..
My mom is turning 51 tomorrow and we work together. There several of us in the office that would like to play a little prank on her... but not really sure what to do. I am huge on adopting animals vs. buying them.. and my mom has been saying forever that she wants an animal.. it has turned into an office joke now that we are going to adopt a dog for her .. we ruffel her feathers all the time about getting her a dog.. (she wants a cat) ... anyway.. we were trying to find a way to leave a phone number for her to call and have someone pretend she had called Pet Smart or something and tell her they had her dog ready for her.. but we dont know who to have her call and make it really sound real.. My other thought, which is WAY on another level was to buy her some fake scratch off lottery tickets.. but I have no idea where to find them.. I dont have time to get them on line...
Any ideas would be every soooo appreciated!! Thank you in advance for your help!! :D

I know you can get fake lottery tickets @ the dollar tree, my son wanted to buy them & I said NO!!!
Whatever you do, DON'T do the fake lottery anything! That's just too much emotion to put someone through! Go on Twitter (www.twitter.com) and I bet you could find several people willing to play the PetSmart gag!
Borrow a friends dog and wrap it up in a box....like christmas. Also check spencers gifts for joke stuff. Use to be a store in the mall.
We played a joke on a girl here in my office. We took her keys in the middle of the day and hid her car. She freaked and one of us offered to call the police which was a husband and he raked her over the coals that she was crazy an old and people don't lose cars etc... He finally agreed to come investigate and drove up in her car. Great!
I like your first idea with the dog... I would take it one step further and have someone call her from pretend Petsmart and then later in the day if one of your co-worker's has a friend or neighbor that has a dog, ask the boss of course, but bring the dog up to the office and tell her that her dog she ordered is here...
I'm sure there are more creative moms out there...
You're such a good daughter!
Candace,
What a fun idea -- I love the pet smart thing -- I'm thinking someone local would love to call her.
I'm from Oklahoma, but would be glad to call and play along if you'd like. Give me a time, date, phone number, and address of your local pet smart, her job, etc. Maybe directions, etc.
Someone else from your area might be better -- just would do it if you cannot find anyone local.

Candace,
I would do the Pet Smart call - but I only have a cell and it cuts out BAD in rainy weather...
I just got my son some fake scratch off's at the Dollar Tree in Mesquite - across from the mall. They are for his 13th birthday... :)
Have fun! :)
We did something similar to my parents. We have a tiny chihuahua sp? and they keep saying they're going to take it home. Soooo I found a "Nintendog" at Target. It's a small white chihuahua and when you press it's ear it growls, barks, panks, or whines. We were going to give them a "pet bag" (the carrier that looks like a giant purse) with some dog toys, towel or blanket, small bowls for food and water, and a ziplock bag of dog food for Christmas, but my dad came over one day and was fixing to leave and saying that he was going to take "Lady" home with him. So DH got him talking and I went in and got the dog and hid it behind my back. We told him since he wanted a dog soooooo badly we'd gotten him one. He nearly had a fit "NO NO NO we can't take care of a dog right now!!!!!!" He cracked up when he saw it was fake! My mom has carried in her purse everywhere she goes since October! Good luck with your prank. Have fun.
