what is your favorite flexible shoe for baby boy? With the rains, the crib shoes are out, but I don't want a stiff sole. Just need something a little more water proof than the single layer leather crib shoes. Recommendations? He is 17 mo . thx.

What can I do next?

Never did "crib shoes" I guess.
We always went to Stride Rite.
Chances are, they'll have what you need.

Our son spent most of this first 3 years barefoot.
It was only when he started being outside a lot that we got him shoes and sandals.
We did Stride Rite for years before he outgrew them.

Once my kids were walking (running) I went straight to sneakers from Stride Rite.

My son went barefoot most of the time but daycare wanted his feet covered. He wore Robeez until he outgrew them (I think they have some styles up to 24 months or more) and then we loved See Kai Run. They are super flexible and as close to barefoot as we could find. Plus they are 100% adorable and way more flexible than I found Stride Rite to be.

My D got her first shoe when she was 10 months, until then just socks. We were traveling so I wanted her to look more polished for our trip :) I got the cutest soft moccasins from Target for 10 bucks. So cute! After that she was walking and I took her to Stride Rite to have her feet measured and got her shoes there. I like that the soles are flexible. She's 8 and still gets sneakers from SR. Good luck!

By that age I had all my kids in regular baby shoes or sneakers. When we went somewhere they were in the basket or holding my hand. It wasn't for them to go walk somewhere.

Flexible shoes for walking were for home IF I wanted to put shoes on them. At home they went barefoot a lot.

My boys wore Robeez until they were three. They wore rubber boots when it rained and winter boots in the snow, but otherwise Robeez were great.
