Like someone else said. I love Denise Austin. I have a few of her videos and they really work. I like the Pilates ones. Actually I really NEED to get back into my videos too!!
I can't get out to a gym on a regular basis. My husband travels too much, and both of our moms work, and I've never had anyone but family watch my kids, so working out outside of the home isn't going to happen. We have the wii fit, but half the time the darn thing doesn't register so as Im dying trying to get to 55 "skips" and it's only at 12, I give up. So on to plan B
I need a video that focuses on the belly. But I would like to tone up my arms and thighs as well. I'm at a very healthy weight, but baby 3 stretched my belly to the limits. While i know I'll probably never have flat rock hard abs, I'd at least like to flatten it out as much as possible! TIA :)
Oh and I currently don't own weights or a medicine ball. But I can purchase if needed.

I have been doing Pilates or kickboxing videos lately for my strengthening workouts. They leave me sore the next day! I also use cardio dancing to get my heart rate up. I use netflix instant to the tv (which you can set up through your wii), and while I pay $8 a month, it is cheaper than a gym and I get multiple workouts instead of watching the same boring one over and over.
30-day Shred is awesome! Its like 25 min and kicks your butt. If you want a longer workout you can do 2 of the sets back-to-back. I love it.
I am also a 30 day shred fan! love that dvd! its quick, its effecient.
Ive got every video under the sun and i stream different videos all the time.(i use a video once a day and have done so for 10 months now) I love a few videos and think they are just the "bees knees" but based on your criteria i can recommend 3 videos that will get you there.
You will need 2 lb or 3 lb dumbbell weights AND a workout mat
........if i were you id alternate these three videos,,,,,and they are all by Jillian Micheals (it just so happens these are my picks because she focuses on thighs, belly and arms and only uses your own body and small weights)
"The 30 day shred".(most of your week)-intense but short interval workouts for 25 min.
"6 week 6 pack" alternate days--35 minutes of ab focus
"burn fat boost metabolism"(like 1 time a week)- 45 minutes of crazy nonsense, but effective
Chaleane Johnson's Turbo Fire baby!! She works with Team Beach Body and the makers of P90X... it's not as brutal, aimed more for women, and she makes it really fun. She's really down to earth (and I can't help but laugh because her bangs never move through out the entire workout, LOL!!) My kids love trying to keep up with me when I'm doing it :) Other than light weights (well, she uses like 25 pounds, screw that, I use 5's, ha!) and an exercise band, all you need is YOU!! Have fun :)
Zumba and Jillian Michaels Fat Burn Metabolism Boost are good for the belly. So is '10 minute solutions' Kick Box Boot Camp. Zumba and the boot camp are the most fun!
Jillian Michaels "6 pack abs in 6 weeks". It is awesome. Not a huge fan of Jillian but it's an intense core workout. She also has the 30 day shred that focuses all over. I was doing a low impact aerobic workout to lose weight but then needed to kick it up a notch and this did the trick.
My favorite DVD is the 10 minute solution Rapid Results Pilates. Worked great after my first 2 kiddos. It has 5 ten minute workouts that target different areas of the body. You can choose to do one @ a time or create your own plan depending on how much time you have to work workout that day. There are other DVD's from 10 minute solutions if you don't like the pilates one. I found mine pretty ____@____.com :)
Zumba!!!! These dance videos work your core and pretty much every part of your body. You can experience a wide variety of dances and I love that there is even a video that teaches you each of the moves, slowly enough so that anyone can follow. These things are awesome! I have the Zumba Exhilarate set and I LOVE it!!!! If you buy the set, they come with toning sticks so you don't need to buy any excess workout products.
Abs are my favorite body part to work out! =) First, I believe simply movements on the floor are really the best work out. The trick is to find several that you like, and then change it up every day. I enjoy planks & working lower abs. Do 10 minutes of abs each day & you'll see a world of change in your body!
All through high school & for years after (I'll be 34 next month), I have used a VHS tape (I know...but it's awesome!) called Abs of Steel. That thing has challenged me for years. I also love The Firm series of videos. Any one I've tried is wonderful, but my favorite is a 20 minute video that is an all-over body workout called Fat-Burning Sculpting Ball Workout. And last, I've been doing a pilates dvd that is called 10 Minute Pilates (I think). It has 5 different 10 minute workouts -- one for legs, one for arms, one for abs, one for stretching, and one that is an overall workout. I've found these to be very effective for such a short workout. You can do just one, two, or all 5 at the same time. And one last suggestion is to run! When you run, you end up toning your core at the same time.
10 minutes a day will make a huge difference. Try it! :)
I love denise austin. She has a yoga video and a kick boxing one and it really helped me. She encourages you and it just makes you want to do a good job! Give it a try. Good luck!
