Good Tasting Soy Yogurt?

My son and daughter love Stonyfield Farms O'Soy brand. They come in a variety of fruit flavors. It's usually sold at Giant Eagle and Dave's.

Soy stuff is NOT good for your baby (or adults either.) If you limit dairy (which is good) try goat milk yogurt. Goat milk is closer to human milk and easier to digest.

My son and I love the coconut milk yogurts by So Delicious. And we love their coconut milk kefir, too.

My son is allergic to all animal milks. I've had him on soy milk and soy yogurt since he turned 1. We use YoSoy yogurt. It only comes in peach and strawberry flavors, but it lasts longer than regular yogurt. It's got pretty good flavors. I add food coloring so it looks just like the fun stuff other kids get (Ex: Trix yogurt).

If you need to completely eliminate his dairy, then do not use the O'Soy yogurt by Stoneyfield farms, as it does contain some milk (read the label). If you just need to minimize his dairy intake, then the O'soy products will probably work and are pretty tasty. My children are allergic to dairy and we used to use the O'Soy products, but I discovered recently that they must have changed the ingredients because they do now contain some milk. I haven't found another brand because I only shop at Giant Eagle.

If you need to also use a soy beverage, the Very Vanilla Soy milk by Silk is excellent. My children love it.

Oh, also, in regards to the comment about using Goats Milk, depending on the reason for limiting dairy, that may not work - you should check with your pediatrician. I know my children who are allergic to milk proteins cannot have goats milk either, because apparently it contains some of the same proteins as cows milk.

We use Whole Soy which can be purchased in larger tubs at Whole Foods. As for Soy being bad... I lived in Japan for a while and they definitely don't think soy is bad. The problem is genetically modified soy products. Look for NON-GMO on the label. Japan does not allow genetically modified foods in their country... and the USA has way too much! Of course, eating complete soy would be silly as we need a very diversified diet. That is the key... a lot of different kinds of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, etc. Just another tid bit of info... Good luck!

Dr. Mercola is a FREAK! Anyone who follows his advice is being taken down the wrong road. Good luck with the soy yogurt, I'm looking for the same thing.

My son is allergic to dairy so we use "So Delicious" brand - he loves it! They have soy and coconut milk yogurts, and he loves them both. Good luck!

Oh So Delicious just came out with a coconut milk based yogurt. Don't know who is carrying it since I just got the email this morning. Their soy yogurt is good too. There is a brand at Kroger that is pretty good in making smoothies and eating too.

Like some of the others, I would recommend O'Soy by YoBaby. I haven't tried them because my daughter and I are allergic to soy. She loves the YoBaby yogurts because they are organic and made with whole milk.
