Good Preschools near Steiner Ranch?

We are relocating to Austin from Portland, OR at the end of December and are looking to buy a house in Steiner Ranch (we think). I am trying to get my 4 year old daughter into a good, Christian based preschool for the remainder of the school year. I know I may have a hard time finding openings half way through the year, but would really appreciate any recommendations for preschools in the area. I have a 2 year old that I will enroll for next year too. Thanks so much for the help!!

There are 2 moms from Steiner that started Rising Stars preschool. We have been going for yrs and the kids (as well as us) love it!

For a christian based one, Hope Children's Center is great - my oldest is in her 2nd year there nd she just loves it. They go to chapel once a week and watch a skit on a bible story. The preschoolers also put on a Christmas program for parents that is wonderful.

My son attends First Foundation Preschool (http://www.firstfoundations.com/) and not only do we love the school but never heard of anyone who didn't love this school. The only thing is I am not sure if it's Christian based even though it's Christ based, I just don't know enough about the difference between Catholics and Christians and such. But the school is wonderful and they had to increase the school from 4 classes to 13 classes in 3 years to accomodate all the people on the waiting list. This year, they even added kindergarten program.
They offer 2 days, 3 days and 5 day programs. I know plenty people from Steiner Ranch who sends their kids to this school. Definitely worth checking out.

Good luck!

Our son goes to the Goddard School and loves it. The teachers are caring and knowledgeable and there are always neat community building events going on.

First Foundations Preschool is the best. It is a very Christ-centered school. I have one that's been through two years, one that's on her second year, and my other two will be going there when they are old enough. They have chapel as well as have Bible stories incorporated into their day. The teachers are believers and care about the kids' education and spiritual well-being. I highly recommend it!

We attend Riverbend Baptist Preschool. It would take about 15 minutes from Steiner Ranch. I know that there are other families from Steiner that go there. Also, you could call and check but they might have openings in a 4 year old class for December. They have a few 4 yr. old classes. Hope this helps! Good Luck!
