My daughter's pediatrician will not pierce her ears. Do you know of a trusted and hygienic place that can handle a squirmy toddler, preferably in San Francisco or nearby?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I found a great place to pierce a baby's ears on Judah St. in San Francisco. The website is www.babypiercing.com. My 2 1/2 year old and 11 month old baby girls were done in minutes. It was a hygienic and peaceful place.

Hello, I highly recomend getting pierced by a professional piercer instead of by a store clerk at the mall who is given a gun. A professional will do a much better job and it hurts less. However, to go this route your daughter will have to be able to say she wants her ears pierced. (I just called and asked)
The only place I would go in SF is a place called "Brain Drops" They are very professional and clean. They just opened a second location on Haight st I think in between Massonic and central..... They are on the nborth side of the street. I have number for their 1st shop ###-###-#### you could get info from them.
Hope this helps
Have a great day!

They are a chain but pretty experienced...
There is one in Daly City right near Trader Joe's (Westlake Area).
Good luck!

I would not take my baby to Claire's (sorry! the employees' ages and skill varies widely!). I would take her to a place like Body Manipulations or something. They pierce with needles and not guns, which makes for a cleaner hole and less chance for pain and infection. Give them a call and see if they have done it, or if they have a recommendation.

My pediatrician referred me to another pediatrician a couple years ago and i cannot remember the name but they are located on California Street (in sf) about three doors down from the walgreens on the corner of california and spruce. She pierced my two year old daughters ears. The nurse did one side and the doctor the other. They did them at the same time which was great. good luck.
