Last year I took my daughter, who is currently 13, to her pediatrician and that worked out great. But in the past year her pediatrician's office has become very busy and now it is very difficult to schedule any type of appointment. I just called and they said the earliest they can do a sports physical is September -- which is way too late since school starts on August 27 (last year I was able to schedule it without waiting for weeks). The school district's sports physical day has already passed so that is not an option. Can anyone recommend a good pediatrician or other doctor for a sports physical in the McKinney area? Thanks!
Check with your local Walgreens. I saw a sign that said they do either sports or school physicals (I can't remember which!) It's a shot...

Call your schools front office or the school districts, pe dept, many time the districts have them planned at different campus around town.
Otherwise call the walk in clinics, they take apts too.
I know you said McKinney but we are working kids in at Rockwall Pediatrics!
Do you have any private schools in your area? At least around here private schools take their sports very seriously! You could call up any private high school and they can give you a list of doctors that perform sports physicals the same day as you call. They are not full physicals and they won't do them instead of the regular physical but it is all that is required to play sports.
I believe I have seen them advertised at places like Care Now and other urgent care places.

I think you can use a walk-in facility. Call and ask.
Not sure if you have them there but MedExpress does sports physicals. Walk in. No appointment needed.
Urgent cares and little clinics (inside drug stores and grocery store pharmacies) around Phoenix (and I'm sure other areas) offer them. Some of them even let you make appointments so you don't have to wait forever and the prices are usually reasonable.
