I am in a wedding in May. It was supposed to be in March which is why we bought our dresses last October. In October, I was about two months post partum, so I had a WAY different body type than I do now.
That being said, the dress is a size 16. I have since lost about 85 lbs, and I need the dress taken into about a size 6-8. I wish there were time to get a different dress, but there really isn't. The top area will still be about the same since I was breastfeeding then, and I still am now, so that hasn't changed. But the waist and hips need a drastic change!
Does anyone know where I should go for this? The place I bought the dress at is no longer in business, so that isn't an option. I need someone fast that does great work!
Sassy's in Bloomingdale on Schick Rd right by Stratford mall has done marvelous work for me in the past. Ask for Charise. I'm not sure if she is still there, but she did a great job on a bridesmaids dress for me that had to be taken in a few sizes also.
Alterations by Angela in Schaumburg, in the shopping strip on the northwest corner of Wise & Roselle Roads. It is next to Papa Saverio's Pizza.
