Hey mama's I saw that another mom needing help finding a bra and that reminded me that I was needing to find my size, but can't.
So yeah I need a 40b. I'm a weird sized gal. I'm larger, but have a small chest. I've tried getting 38b and put and extender, but it just didn't fit right. I've even gone up to a C, and I'm most defiantly a B. I had a lot of space, but the band fit. Any suggestions??? Preferably not to expensive, but I know quality means expense, especially in the bra department.
I would try Lane Bryant. They have all different sizes for bigger women. That is where I get mine. They typically always have sales and sometimes you can get lucky and find some on the clearance racks.
My advice is the same: go to SOMA. If you are having trouble finding a bra that fits right, then you may not have found the correct size. I thought I was a 40C, but once they measured me, it turned out I was a 36DD! Have them measure you and then go from there. No, their bras aren't cheap, however once you find the correct size, you can always shop the sales online and save quite a bit. Plus with the good quality, they last a long time. Good luck!
I'm that size and it is a tough size to find. I've had luck recently at Kohl's finding that size. If you use your Kohl's charge, you get those 15, 20 or 30% coupons in the mail which is a good discount. Also, sometimes, I'll get lucky and find a 40B at Kmart.

I have gotten some 42B's at Lane Bryant and I know they carry from 38 band size up to probably 48 or so (and bigger in the catalogs). They have some B's and a lot of C's. It is also worth getting measured again. I went up and down a lot with pregnancy and nursing.
i don't know but i am a 38A (or AA depending), well... apparently the cup size gets bigger w/bigger size. so a 38A is actually a larger cup than a 36A. didn't know that.yeah. if i was 34 i'd be a b cup, but with 38 i'm actually like a AA in womens. crazy.
i actually have to shop the kids section for overweight little girls. LOL. and i'm skinny!!! (depends on the shape of your boob but i go to jcpenny)
Believe it or not Avon has large size bras. They carry name brands like Playtex and Bali.
Bras in the 40's are hard to find.. I look at every store I go to.
Target, Lane Bryant, Macy's, Dillards.. Look online also..
Even in strange colors, I purchase them..
