I'm looking for a good pediatrician that is fairly close to where we live which is Locust Grove and McMillan. I want someone that my children and I both will really like. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanking you for those that referred me to Dr. Miller. I just took my 5 month old to him today and he was very nice and seemed very knowledgeable. My 2 year old especially liked all the toys in his office!:) THANK YOU!

My son is 14 yrs. old. We have used Dr. Lindsay with Ada Pediatrics his entire life. We really like Dr. Lindsay and he is very knowledgable. His practice is on Cole Rd. across from the Mall (near Cole & emerald).

Also, I have heard remarkable things about Dr. Godfrey. His practice is located in Eagle.

Dr. Allyson Van Steenbergen works with Dr. Zieba at Meridian Pediatrics (off of Eagle Rd., close to McMillan-- right next to DG Nursery and Turf.) Dr. Ally is a fabulous doctor. She is so personable-- loves children and when you go for a visit she remembers who you are and who else is in your family. I never feel rushed and always feel like I have the best kids in the world when I go there. She actually got teary when I told her about my oldest son starting kindergarten! I used to live right close to Eagle and McMillan, but went to Dr. Ally close to Curtis and Emerald. Then I moved south off of Overland and she moved to Eagle and McMillan! It is nice that she is close to you, but she is definitely worth the drive. I am not as familiar with Dr. Zieba, but have seen her once and also had a good experience. Their website is meridianpediatrics.com. Good luck!

Dr Miller in Eagle is very good. I go to Treasure valley peds but that is over on Overland and I don't think my ped is taking new patients. I work with Dr Alan Miller, I am a nurse and he is a really great guy and a wonderful doctor.

i just read the other response. Dr Vansteenbergen is wonderful also. I forgot she moved over that direction. I would also highly recommend her.

You're very very close to the doctors office that my whole family goes to which is St. Luke's Family Health on the corner of McMillan and Cloverdale. I also live off of McMillan between Meridian Road and Locust Grove so it is VERY convenient. We see Dr. Wade Bateman and also Dr. Kaylor. They are general practioners but see my children as well (age 20 mos. and 7 years) as my husband and I. I have been very impressed by them and their staff. Very friendly and professional. My 7 year old was diagnosed with ADHD a little over a year ago and it was a huge ordeal for my husband and I. Dr. Bateman was very helpful and referred us to a great counselor Dr. David DeLawyer and our son is now doing VERY well. The phone number is ###-###-#### and their address is 12080 W. McMillan Road. You could even meet with Dr. Kaylor and Dr. Bateman to see which you liked best. Both doctors have kids of their own so that seems to make a difference in my book. I also have never ever had a problem getting an appointment within a decent amount of time and often they will squeeze you in if urgent. They also sometimes have Saturday hours too.
