Hi, I was looking for an OB GYN in the Madison area or even the Rockford area. I live in Janesville, so either location would be great. I want a doctor that can handle difficult cases. I'm not pregnant, nor do I plan to be again (tubes tied) but I am thinking I will be needing a hystorectomy due to some pains I have been having for going on 4 years now, and I also have a double uterus (as if one's not enough!lol). Any recommendations and experiences you could share would be very helpful! Thanks!! :)

What can I do next?

I am from Janesville, and I heard that there is a new doctor at Mercy West who specializes in rare and high risk female issues. I believe her name is Dr. Okocha. (sp?) My doctor has told me that she is really great!

I also have to give a heads up for Dr. Rosenboom at Riverview clinic. I no longer have him do to insurance, but he was an awesome OB. Only issue is, with him being so good, his waiting list tends to be long.

Any reason you don't want a doctor in Janesville? Dr. Roseboom at Dean Riverview is AWESOME!! I love him to death. If you want to go to Madison, I really liked Dr. Rudat. I used to see a doctor in Madison (I'm in Beloit) and I just loved his nurse. She transfered to Riverview, thats how I ended up with Dr. Roseboom. I'm glad I made the switch. He can practice out of Mercy or St. Mary's in Madison. Another reason I liked him. It was nice to have him close for appointments, but I had my surgery in Madison. St. Mary's is awesome, too!

Hi M.,
I too live in Janesville, and from what i've heard, Madison is the best place to go for good doctors, and if you have the insurance definately go there. Good Luck to you and hope you find the right doctor there.

I agree with LeeAnn C. I have a rare disease that can have complications for every aspect of medical care and my FP suggested Dr. Rosebloom. I had him for my emergency c-section which got VERY complicated and he was great!
