For those of you who remember my neighbor issues concerning his obnoxious dog, I just wanted to say - THE DOG IS GONE!!! They gave it away to someone who wanted him. Hopefully he'll get the attention that he so desperately needs. But as for me, I am sooo happy. It is quiet here now and I no longer have to worry about that dog getting out anymore. He still has two more dogs (one he just got) but neither of them are barkers and neither show any aggression so all is good for now. So do any of ya'll have any good news to share? Maybe something that bothered you once and no longer does?

Hope everyone is enjoying their extra day! :)

What can I do next?

Well, my son has tested out of the Special Needs department at his preschool and should be going into General Ed for Kinder! I am mixed about this, esp since he is changing classrooms this week from his small 10 kid class to a larger, nearly 20 students classroom. He has adhd and still needs some allowances but they think he is ready for general education! So I have mixed feelings about it. Lucky for me I am very active in his school and know all the teachers well (no 'bad' apples in this group) and I am excited about the teacher choice and I think once he gets used to the changes will be happy about it. It's just the adjustment period that concerns me! So, yeah to my son's teachers who did sooooo well with him to help get him from a place where he needed everything they had to offer to accomodations only!

So far, so good on Leap Day.

I'm glad to hear that dog is no longer tormenting you. We've had unfriendly, paranoid neighbors on both sides with penned-up, neglected, frustrated, anxious dogs that barked almost 24 hours a day between them, for a total of 12 years.

Complaints to Animal Control had no results. Chats with the neighbors had no results. Pleading had no results other than a recommendation that we get on meds to relieve our own distress. There was simply nothing we could do that improved the situation for us or for the poor dogs. One horrible summer when it was too hot to keep our windows closed at night, I contemplated poisoning one particular dog, but I couldn't really have done that.

But they're all moved elsewhere now – their dogs are problably tormenting some other poor souls, and we have responsible, friendly neighbors with quiet, friendly dogs. What a blessed relief. I'm so happy you are free of the barking. too!

Things are getting better with my crazy neighbor. People have been figuring her out and we get relief from her because it's cold here! Isn't it nice when it's peaceful?

This is truly awesome news for you. I am very happy for you. There is nothing worse, than a barking dog, really. That is my huge pet peeve. Hope you get a good night's sleep tonight!!!

Good for you. I remember the day "bad dog barker" as we call him moved away. It was so nice not having to worry about the dog barking all hours of the day and night and not worry about it trying to eat my dog.

I did get other good news today. We may have an offer on our home, better yet, we maybe getting 2 offers on our home.
