My 2 year old son is getting a tricycle for his birthday and I'm trying to find a good reliable helmet for him. I love the one from Disney with McQueen on it but Amazon is saying it does'nt fit right... are there any good brands that are trustworthy but still looks good? Thanks!

What can I do next?

Do you have a Kohl's near you?
Every year they do a FREE helmet check and even GIVE helmets to kids...they are very thorough. You might want to check into that.

I'd buy O. at a store rather than on-line, that way someone there that is trained can look at the helmet on your child's head and adjust as necessary!

Oh! You should message Mamatothreewee. She is very passionate about helmets, and might be able to give you some good advice! Good luck!

Whatever you decide to get be sure it covers the entire back of the head too. Most just cover the top.

i would go into a store and check out helmets to make sure it fits, not online :)

Take him to a reputable bike store-like a cycle shop that sells trek and other fancy adult bikes. Ours sell infant and toddler helmets and will FIT them for you :)

My suggestion would be to go to an actual bike shop. We bought countless helmets from the likes of Target, etc. and NONE fit properly. I brought them all to a bike shop to see what I was doing wrong and they told me that it wasn't me, it was the cheapo helmets. I had her fitted right then and there for a quality helmet and it's remarkable how well it fits and it has adjustments on it that the others didn't. Spent about $25 on a Specialized kids helmet, but safety is tops in my book.
