Hello Ladies! We are in need of a good family doctor, who didn't sell his sole to a pharmacy industry, i mean, who will not just feed you pills left and right and at least make it look like he's care about you. We live in Grapevine. Doctor needed mostly for me and my husband. Thanks for all your help.

What can I do next?

Me, my husband, my 2 preteen girls, father, and grandfather all see Dr. Pamela Henderson out of Keller. She is with a group called North Hills Family Medicine in Keller, Texas. She is absolutely amazing and takes her time with her patients. I even invited her to my wedding and she came. She is wonderful and very caring and extremely helpful. Their phone number is ###-###-####. If you cant get in to see her, Dr. Erica Swegler is amazing as well.

I switched Doctors recently, I went online and read a lot of Doctor reviews and found Kathryn Pifer in Colleyville. She's a DO.

Ste 100, 4214 Gateway Drive
Colleyville, TX 76034-7906

She sat down with me, talked, didn't rush the appointment. She didn't push pills. I felt like she was working for me, not a pharmaceutical company. (I was feeling tired and anxious, she didn't shove anti-depressants down my throat) I liked her reviews because so many people said she has a great 'bed side' manner and several people mentioned her being able to diagnose problems other doctors had not been able to resolve.

My husband has switched to her as well, she's warned him he is pre-stages for diabetes and if he changes his wicked ways now he can avoid having to go on diabetes medication. (Not mentioned by his previous Dr.) So far I'm very happy.

If you google "Doctor reviews" that's what I did... I found lots of reviews for doctors in our area and just decided on one that suited my views and needs. Just be wary of reviews that sound canned, or set up. I look for unique details, stories that are deeper then "Very nice and staff is friendly."

Good luck, if you do go to Dr. Pifer, let me know what you think. :)

Dr. Jeffrey Bullard, MaxHealth in Colleyville, right next to CHHS.

He's a wonderful doctor who takes the time to listen to your concerns and then tries to explain how he comes to his decision for whatever his Dx.

My dr is Lorrie Hayes in Colleyville across from Market St. She is good with me. She tries not to go the med route but will when needed. She will follow up with you(I forget to do all that checking back stuff)She is very patient, kind asks alot of questions to get to the bottom of a problem. She can usually get you in on short notice too. Good luck.

Dr. Jay Mahoney- he's in Southlake or Colleyville, I think. Dont' have his phone number off hand, but he is awesome and uses all sorts of alternative treatments. The only reason I don't go to him is because he doesn't take insurance and we simply can't afford it.

Texas Health HEB is offering a Doc Shop on June 15. You have an opportunity to meet several physicians in one setting. Here's a link explaining it: http://www.texashealth.org/body.cfm?id=3371. You go during your lunch hour, speak to several physicians and see if any of them are right for you. It's a great way to meet some docs without spending any money on trial visits.

Good luck.

My husband & I see Dr. Terrence Feehery in Irving. He is wonderful. He will take time with you (you will not feel rushed) to actually listen, he doesn't over-prescribe and he is available. He will personally call you with lab results, answer email questions and return your calls. I also have several friends (and their families) that see him and none of us have ever had any issues.

Here's his information and a review:
Dr. Terrence M Feehery, DO
