My daughter has a DS and loves it, she is 9. She has the game Brain Age, which she likes. Also many of the animal games and Mario games.
Good Luck!
I am getting my 7 yr old girl a DS lite for Christmas. Does anyone have any suggestions for some good games. (She really loves animals, but I am open to anything.) I also have a 4 yr old girl. We have a wii. Does anyone have any suggestions for good wii games that she might like. (Her passion is babies. I did see a Baby First Steps game, but I wanted some other opinions.)

My daughter is the same age. She really likes the Build A Bear game...and it is one of the less expensive ones so that is a bonus!
We got our daughter Wild Animals Dophinz (yeah, it has a "z") and she absolutely loves it. We got Diddy Kong Racing. Nintendogs is fun she liked that, too. The Animalz series has several different ones like Monkeyz, Animalz Vet, Horsez. I would suggest going to gamestop because there used games are usually on sale. They just got done having a sale where if you buy 2 used games you get the third free. All the games come with an instruction book. At this age, we buy very little brand new. The Mario games and Sonic are fun.
Hope this helps,
L.
My daughter go hers at age 6. Her favorites are Cooking Momma, Build-a-Bear, and Mario. My niece is 10 and is often my go to gal for game ideas as she has several and knows which ones are harder to figure out. She real likes all the Imagine games Imagine Babies,..., she also suggested Carnival Games for a new one this year.
My 8 year old is asking for thesse DS games...
iCarly
Penguin Club
Truth or Square (a Sponge Bob thing apparently)
my daughter LOVED the nintendogs games. she couldn't put them down. If you daughter loves animals, that's the game I would get.
My daughter loves dogz, catz, I love the brain age games for her and she does too, but the catz and dogz are her favoirte. She also enjoys the ELF game (based on the movie)
FYI:
Check out pawn shops and disc replay. You can get really good used ones at a fraction of the cost.
I can also direct you to a game site. I have a friend that sells "Simply Fun Games". Here is here information.
