I am helping a friend do some research to find a good divorce lawyer and told her I would ask on here. It's an abusive relationship with two kids involved. She needs someone that can be agressive, as her husband will not handle this rejection well and will most likely use the children and their assets to get back at her.
Also, do you have any info (good/bad) on a lawyer named MARY QUINN located downtown?
Don't know about her, but my sister recently used a lawyer for a really ugly custody situation named Tom Foxx, I believe. I know that he was extremely helpful and very honest when she needed someone who could just lay it out on the line for her... She lived in Riverview, but I think he is located either in S. Tampa or St. Pete - he came highly recommended to her via several of my professional contacts.
As my father has been through 2 Divorces I asked him - told him a friend of a friend needed the information and this is who he recommends

Just a disclaimer - Ray is a great guy a family friend as well. If he isn't doing the Divorces his brother is.
She use to be a client of someone I worked for and I heard nothing but good things from him, she helped me with some advise, very nice but aggressive.
Don't trust a woman lawyer. Men do a lot better job when it comes to divorce.
I have not heard of Mary Quinn but my husband used Matt Thatcher at Solomon Tropp off Kennedy in Tampa. He is extremely good and the group tends to take cases that are difficult. They have a large retainer but they are GOOD! There is also someone else in Brandon by the name of Eileen (can't remember her last name). Good luck
I don't know if your friend has already pursued the divorce, but I would recommend Mara Shaughnessy. She's a divorce lawyer in Brandon, FL - she's very easy to speak with and compassionate about these type of situations. In the courtroom though, she's a very tough family law attorney, aggressively fighting for the rights of her client.
