For years I've used my mighty bright, as I read to fall asleep, or sometimes just really late on the weekends. The problem is that I have an old mighty bright, and since then all the book lights have switched to LED and they don't make my bulbs anymore. My husband bought a bunch when they stopped making them and I'm finally on the last one. I bought an LED a while back, and it was so dim I threw it away. I could use advise on book lights that are bright, work well, and are easy to use.

What can I do next?

There is a company called Maxi Aids that sells products for people with low vision (which are also wonderful for folks with regular vision) and they have a large selection of reading lamps and book lights that are designed to be very bright and low on glare. The prices for most of them are comparable to what you see in stores, so it would be worth looking into. The web page is www.maxiaids.com.
Good luck!

Check ebay for the bulb. Just an idea. I have found some really hard to find items on there.

Not sure if this will suit your needs, but I purchased a snuggie that came with a book light that hooks on to your book. It was plenty bright and so small and convenient. I was able to read in bed without disturbing the husband!
