I am in desperate need of tutoring for college algebra. I am in a very precarious situation. My job was recently elimininated, and I have decided to return to college to pursue a degree in the healthcare field. I have a BS degree in business received in 1983. My delimma is that I goofed off back then and received a D in algebra. Because of my immaturity and being "afraid" of math, I let this D sit on my transcript all this time. Never in a kazillion years did I think I would need this class again. Lo and behold, here I am 30 years later, and I need the class because, of course, a D won't transfer. I need a private tutor to get me up to speed on basic algebra because in college algebra, you are supposed to already know the basics .. and I know none. I don't have the time to go back and take the remedial courses to get me up to speed because I have to apply to the medical program in December. HELP!!!!!
My father was a college math teacher for 35 years and is now retired and tutors math. Both my husband and I had him for College Algebra way back when and he is an excellent teacher!
