Going to Disney World in May and Need Some Help!

S., How are you getting to disney world? Are you going on a plane? Is the baby going to be a lap baby (didn't know if they even allow that anymore) or having her own seat. You say she is a very energetic little girl. I would suggest having a way to confine her for part of the trip at least. Now past that point. When you get off the plane in florida. Your going to need a carseat for the trip from the airport to disney world and again from disney to sea world. if your family that is going to be there with you has one maybe they could bring it. either way your will need one when your coming / going from airport. Disney world rents strollers. are you bringing your own? or planning to rent one? Disney is huge. with an 18month old you will definitly need one. I liked our own for when they were younger as they have padding / covers etc. but disney rents very utilitarian ones. they get the job done. and its nice to have a place to put the diaper bag, camcorder, water bottles etc. good luck have a great trip

Since the 21 month old is still taking naps, I recommend you bring your own 'comfy' stroller, one that reclines and has an umbrella for shade. We went in Nov. with my 3 yr old and we so glad we brought the heavy comfy stroller for naps instead of the tiny travel stroller or rentals at the park. See, nap times may be delayed because of all the sites and sounds. My son definitely tried fighting off nap time until he just crashed from exhaustion. 6 days in the Parks is alot to do all in a row. We broke it up into 2 parks with a half day of low key fun at the poolside.

As for the food, there are alot of choices, especially at Epcot. We went to the local store and bought most of our meals and packed it. We stayed in a place with a kitchenette and ended up eating at the Parks twice (Epcot and Magic Kingdom so we wouldn't miss the 7pm fireworks). We knew, we'd treat the kids to treats/sweets but we saved money by minimizing on Park food, and the kids ate a little healthier than pizza and hot dogs for a week.

The buses that take you to and from the airport (Disney Express) if you use it and to and from the parks don't require car seats. My son travels with me all the time. It is nice to have one for the plane as they are used to sitting still in a car seat. I just got back from Disney 3 weeks ago. I loved the bus system:)

I brought a stroller that reclined. He took a nap just about everyday so it was nice. They have strollers there. It seemed almost everyone but me rented, lol. They seamed nice enough, but they were that hard plastic.

I loved when my son napped at the parks. I got to sit on a bench and relax and enjoy people watching. You'll have a blast!

Well, here's what we did. We bought the Cosco carseat at Walmart approx. $40-50 barrowed a carseat bag and used that while we were down there. Then when we came home we returned it. It was in absoulte perfect condition. Our son didn't eat in it. But DEFINALTEY bring a stroller for naps and your peace of mind! Otherwise, you can call a cab and request them to have a carseat in it everytime you need it. If you were renting a car you could also request a carseat and they supply one for a daily fee.

I use to work at American Airlines before my son was born and your daughter can ride as a lapchild till the age of 2yrs for free. If you want a seat for her obviosuly you need to pay for that.
