Just curious. Why GF if you do not have to?
My daughter and I have recently made the move over to a gluten free diet. I have no trouble cooking meals from scratch as I love to cook. What we're missing is bread that tastes like bread. We've tried one or two with little success. Is it just that GF bread is never going to have the taste/texture of real bread or is there a good brand out there that I haven't discovered yet. While we're at it, feel free to share your favorite brands of other GF foods or recipes.

The best white bread I have found is Udi's Florence Bakery. Not just Udi's. But, it is not bread like you want. But, it is the closest I have found. Costco also has a good seed bread that is really good, but it is heavy and sometimes will make my tummy too full.
The best brownies are Betty Crocker in the cake mix aisle. They also make good cake mixes. But, Safeway has their own brand called Eating Right for Gluten Free and their mixes are really good. So are their frozen dinners. Bob's Red Mill makes a good pizza crust mix, it's the best one I've found.
If you want to eat out, Subway has great gluten free bread, and they are very careful about making sure you don't get cross contaminated. Franz also makes a good white bread, just not as good as the Florence Street Bakery from Udi's.
My favorite noodles are the Quinoa brand in a gray/green box. Brown rice noodles without anything else mixed in are not so great, corn is ok.

Some foods just aren't the same, but some are better.
I shop at Aldi. Their "Live G-Free" brand is really awesome. They have a GF "wheat" style bread that I love. I keep the load in the freezer and then when I want a sandwich I just pull out a couple of slices and lightly toast them. That's the trick. There's not a GF bread out there that is going to have the taste and texture of wheat, but very lightly toasting it does get it much closer.
I also love the Live G-Free brownie mix. It's the best brand I've ever found, even better than wheat-based. And their cornbread mix is also great. I like their rice/seed crackers, but only the sea salt ones...the rosemary and oil type aren't my thing.
Mostly I stay away from GF boxed stuff. It's really not all that healthy. They're still basically franken-foods. I cook other grains, meats, veggies, and omit wheat and wheat-like wanna be products as much as possible.
Udi's is the best I've found too but I have to toast it. And it's still not as good as real bread... Barilla has a great GF pasta though.
My relative that had to go gluten-free says that's what she misses most. She has not found anything close to bread so she usually uses corn tortillas or lettuce to make sandwiches.
