Since she was 7. And in 2nd grade.
And she was NOT the only one in her class... to have underarm odor.
Per that age.

I get her the Arm & Hammer "Essentials Natural Deodorant." It has NO parabens and no aluminum in it.
Can be found at any drug store or grocery store.

My daughter is now in 3rd grade, and her Teacher, spoke the the class about how some kids are starting to get 'odor' under their arm-pits... and they need to use deodorant, because they are getting older.

The hormones in kids, also fluctuates. Thus, sometimes they may smell and sometimes not.

I have 5 kids - 4 sons and one daughter. My 24 year old had a horrid smell but started around the average puberty age for boys, around age 8-10. (it's been a while, lol) My 15 year old does not have it bad and started around the same age with puberty. My triplets are 6 1/2. The boys don't have that pungant smell yet. I'm expecting them to start at the average age of 8-10. My daughter, on the other hand, started having that nasty funk smell at age 5! I bought her a pink bottle of women's deodorant that is a pretty powder smell. It lasted for a short time last summer and then used it as needed once in a while. Hadn't used it hardly at all over the winter. Then a couple weeks ago I started smelling it again so we spray. She still only uses it as needed, not very often. At this point when she does hit puberty I have a fear that she's going to have horrid puberty funk. Poor girl! She's always been a pretty princess who likes to get dirty, but she's always had things like stinky feet and the occasional bad breath we would tease her about when she was little. Now I'm beginning to wonder about her upcoming puberty in the next couple years. *sigh*

little, 7-8 years old. Look fir the "crystal" at health stores, very effective & nothing bad in it. You just wet it and rub it on, yet there is no residue, no cream, nothing, its just water. Seems weird, but truly works.

I was about ten... I'm planning to introduce it young to my kids like a fun thing to do, so they don't get embarrassed about having to use it when they're older... like I was.

Hormones and eating habits have a lot to do with aroma. My girls were 12 and 13 when they started noticing they needed it. They have pretty good eating habits and I had them both on an absorbable multivitamin but when puberty hit, they needed a little help.

God bless,

M.

I did not use deodorant until I was 40 years old, after the birth of baby #2. Honestly, I don't know why...I just never developed any body odor.

My DD started using deodorant in the 5th and 6th grade due to playing competitive basketball.

My daughter is 8, and we started noticing about a year ago that sometimes she would smell really funky. Well, this school year I told her that she HAS to wear it every day, and especially before she goes to ballet class (oh man, my whole car was funky after we drove home from ballet a few weeks ago when she forgot to wear deodorant! Phew!) Anyway, I let her choose what kind, and she chose Secret (one of the new scents) because she thinks it smells like perfume. LOL

I think my daughter was about 10. I think it was Teen Spirit and she loved the smell.
