Girl's First Hair Cut

I know this question has been asked before, but my little girl is 21 months old and I still haven't gotten her first hair cut. I am so worried they are going to mess up her hair, and I can't just buzz it off like you can with a boy. I need advice on where to go, and who to schedule her hair cut with. I would like to find a good place in the Plano/Allen area that is especially good with first hair cuts. Thank you!

I took my kids to Kids B Kids at Parker and Independence in Plano. They even do something special for the "first haircut" like take a picture or save some hair for you or something...I can't remember exactly, it's been a few years! the kids sit on a chair that looks like a carousel ride at a carnival....it's fun! ZooCuts in Allen would do good too, I bet. They are at Bethany and Jupiter....

A little girl's first hair cut is a big deal! I totally understand your anxiety. I have heard great things about Sweet and Sassy in the Stonebriar Mall area. You can get a coupon for $2 off on weekdays which makes their price close to $10, I think. This is much cheaper than Kids Cuts and the salon in Toys R Us...neither of which do a good job in my opinion.

Good luck!

I have taken my kids to Cool Cuts for their first hair cuts. The kids sit on or in cool cars etc. and get to watch a video, that was great to keep them from being scared and moving all over the place. Also my favorite part is that they take a picture at the end and give you a picture holder that also holds a peice of the hair that they cut. I put both of my kids in their baby books.
Good Luck

You should try The Kid Salon in Allen on the corner of Main and Allen Heights. I don't have a girl but I know they pay attention to details like remembering what setting I prefer on my boys for lengh. Their location is geared to kids with lots of things to do while the kids wait and they love to visit the treasure box for a goody when they are done.
