Do you have an Albertson's or a Sav-On?
They have cute Gingerbread Houses and Trains Sets and they are only $11.99!
Hi moms,
I was wondering if anyone has seen any pre-assembled gingerbread houses out this year and where? I know some of the grocery stores have beautiful ones out, but they are expensive. We are looking for something around $10 for our annual gingerbread decorating party. Last year they were everywhere and this year we are having trouble finding some. Thanks so much for your help!
Thanks for all the great suggestions. I was able to find some at Target already assembled just needing the finishing touches, which should be perfect for my toddlers:) Happy Holidays everyone!

We got ours at Costco. They were preassembled and had lots of good goodies to put on it. Have fun!
Walmart. They even have a mini gengerbread village. =)
I just bought each one for my kids at Toys R Us. Everything is included and it was $10 per box. It's a great way to keep the kids busy for a long time and at the same time they are having so much fun designing their houses to their liking. In the Toys R Us I got mine at, the gingerbread houses were located right in a Christmas section when you enter the store. (They also had another one that was 3 dollars more that was geared toward princesses. But, I like the typical ones that you see in a lot of stores.)
BTW, see if there's any where around you that you can take your kids to look at gingerbread houses. In my town, groups and families get together and decorate gingerbread houses and they are put on display at the park district for a couple of days. (They turn out to be so creative and some are huge!) They only ask for a donation to view all of the gingerbread houses.(I think for a police sponsored activity). My kids ask every year if they can go again.
Have fun!
I'm on a gingerbread CRUSADE this year. It's sooooo cheap and easy to make gingerbread and royal icing. For $10 you could make 5+ gingerbread houses. And it only takes about an hour to make the gingerbread. 10 seconds to add water to powdered sugar.
I have seen them at Target and Michaels. You can use a 40% off coupon at Michaels too.
We bought one this past weekend at Bed Bath and Beyond. They have a gingerbread house, village and train. They are $10 and if you have a 20% off coupon, it's a really good deal.
I suppose it all depends on what you find at the stores (suggested below) in your area. Not all stores carry the same brands...
It's probably a touch more than your price range, however I bought a $15 pre-assembled one from Central Market (in Austin); the larger ones were $25. You can call the Dallas store and see if they carry them, if the other stores (suggested) dont carry what you want.
You can also order them from Bountiful Baskets www.bountifulbaskets.com (but hurry and order today so you can pick them up on Saturday!) they are only $6.50 each and have no preservatives. We put ours together today and it is super cute.
Walmart and target... they're all $10. They had a gingerbraid train at albertsons but that may be a local store... I have no idea but I don't think it is very much since iminmy30'salready has one in WA lol. Either way I'm torn cuz the train is so cute too.
Walmart and Target has them, but Target has a better selection. We got a $10 with a small gingerbread village in it.
we do these every year as a familiy activity. the older kids are all in college now and / or married. they come home and bring along the girlfriends my daughter brings her husband and kids. we now need 5 of the kits as we do two people to a house. I find the best least expensive ones at aldi's they are $6.99 for the house and 2 little gingerbread men to decorate. lots of fun. one year my house wall caved in and one of the kids brought some matchbox cars and said moms house can be the garage lol.
costco and jo-ann. And pretty much everywhere... I add more mini M&M to make it more festive.
