I picked up this great sampler of different kinds of vanilla at the Cost Plus World Market. It was only $15, then I got a small thing of truffles for 2.50 to go with it.
I need a 20 dollar gift for a grab bag . Any different idea instead of candles wine candy scarf the same boring stuff. Age group for bag is about 30 to 60.

LUSH products are awesome - they've got several gift packages under $20. There is one at the Macy's in Oakbrook Center or you can order on-line at www.lush.com
Depends if you are doing it at someone's house. I'm giving steaks, like Omaha, a new place opened in Bolingbrook that I think might have some great deals. Its called Great Steaks and More or something. I'm going to add a bottle of red wine for both of my sisters. Good Luck!
I didn't read the responses so you may have already heard this idea. Last year I got 2 movie gift certificates in a bucket filled with theatre candy and microwave popcorn.
It was really cute.
HI, I am a 33 year old woman from Indiana. My favorite gifts are new and interesting games I can play with my family. If these people are family people, try brain games. Cranium has a great line of games for all ages. the kids, and the husbands will have a blast. If that doesn't work, try starbucks gift cards, or a basic wal-mart gift card. with a wal-mart card you can't go wrong. Everyone needs stuff from wal-mart sometimes! Good luck, S.
Scratch off Lottery Tickets. They are always a big hit when I use them for a grab bag gift.
I also like the big mug with box or packet of soup/tea/cocoa, and a blank book, like a journal, with a pen. That is always well received.
Scratch off tickets are always a hot item in our adult grab bag.
$20 worth of scratch off lotto tickets!
I do lotto tickets! Everyone loves the chance to become rich! In our family grab bag where you can steal from one another with the game we play the Lotto tickets change hands constantly! Also, if you do one of the games like that wrap it up with something to disguise the size, weight and shape!
Blessings to you!
Not sure where you live, but I went to the Crate & Barrel Outlet, and it's amazing how much great stuff they have for under $20...I managed to get two great gifts for under $10 actually!!
Lottery tickets/scratch offs always were a big hit at my work Christmas Party
You've got the motherload of responses, I like the AMC giftcard from Costco. Who wouldn't like a movie. I think that an assortment of Tazo tea is a great gift or either a premade gift bag of Burt's Bees products. Their products are all natural and can be used by men or women. The lip balm is perfect for winter along with the hand cream and salve. I always hated getting a gift bag from Bath and Body because I don't like artificial scents. Burts is a natural and neutral choice and you can get it at Ulta AND there was a 3.50 off a $10 purchase in the paper today. You may even be able to print it online from their website. Good luck!
I sell Tupperware and whenever I do a grab bag I take a piece and everyone loves it because you can use it year round and its lifetime warranty. I have a bunch of pieces in stock for $20 or less. Call me if you are interested. J. ###-###-####
Hey Paula, about a bottle of wine, gift card, subscribtion to a magazine if you know what the person would like. Thats all I got thats a little different. Good Luck.
Mrs. Meyers cleaning supplies. They just smell so good!

I recently got $20 worth of scratch off lottery tickets. I ended up winning another free ticket & $25!!! I thought it was a cute gift idea!
Hi Paula,
The Pampered Chef has many great items for under $20. You could check out the corporate website at www.pamperedchef.com. Let me know if you are interested.
Happy shopping!

I would assemble a gift bag with smaller things lending towards a theme. For example, throw in a few packages of microwave popcorn, boxes of candy, and a $15 Blockbuster gift card. Instant movie night!
p.s. for what it's worth, I personally think the lotto tickets will be a waste of money (chances of winning are quite low), and the recipient will probably be disappointed that all they have is a worthless piece of paper.
We got 2 discounted DVDs that were family friendly for our grab-bag gift. Another idea is to go to World Market (formerly Cost Plus World Market) if you have one near you. They have some unique things there that you could get. Another idea: last year we bought an ice cream maker and some M&Ms to go with it.
Gift certificate. For Barnes & Noble or Amazon.com, a local store you love, etc. That way they can buy what they like. It sounds impersonal, but think of what you'd like -- another mug and pound of coffee that fits someone else's tastes, or browsing around a store knowing that you can choose anything you like, courtesy of the grab bag.
How about a digital keychain? You can find them at Target or Walmart for under $20 and they can store up to 50 pictures.
Hi Paula,
Just to let you know, last year I got AMC movie tickets from Costco for less than $20. They were the hit of the grab bag! Good Luck!
Visa gift card can go anywhere!!!!!!
Attach it to a jumbo size Hershey Bar!
( I did Hershey bars for a shower with a hand made label as party favors and everyone at the party was Thrilled! So a large chocolate bar and VISA $$ would be awesome!) Have Fun!
Ages 30 -60?? - I'd go with......... BIRDFEEDER!! :o)
I like consumables (coffee, tea, cookies) or gift cards. Depending on the age group, it seems like picture frames, etc., are so specific to personal taste (or we all have as much as we need.) I have sold a lot of picture frames in the box at garage sales. People know I like to take photos and probably assume I also have a lot of tables to display them on (but I don't!)
If not consumables, I say go all the way in the "personal taste" category and take a chance on something funky from local artisan or small shop, something unique and interesting and fun.
One of my favorite gifts received in a grab bag was a cookbook.....with lots of good color photos!
A lovely Xmaas decoration could be something that lasts forever. Make sure the year is marked on it even if you have to do it yourself. A music box playing Xmas tunes, etc.
Last year we had a grab bag at work... and Everyone fought over the $20.00 gift card for Gas!!....
Gift card to Panera Bread. Most popular gift in our grab bag this year~~
A gift card is always a hit. Target, Best Buy, any of those.
Hi Paula. :)
I like to do something where I get a $10 Blockbuster gift card and then a popcorn bowl and popcorn. Or movie tickets and candy...or a Starbucks gift card and a coffee mug. I like giving gift cards but feel they are slightly impersonal. I also always give the gift receipt (usually from Target) for the other item.
Have fun! :)
K.
I know it sounds googy, but i received a label maker, and now I have given 2 people one for christmas. They're great to have and something you wouldn't buy for yourself.
How about picture frames? (especially if its for a woman)
Khols has some really nice ones, that are usually discounted, so you could get 2 or 3 for the price.
or a gift card to a local resturant.
the doller store sells scrapbooks and suplys you can get a book and a few things for it for under 20 dollers
How about a nice holiday pillow? or a table runner or table cloth? Or nice decorative dish towels or hand towels for the bathroom?
These are all things that we all love, but rarely spend our own money on. They make nice gifts.
My husband had 12 brothers and sisters. This year I took some fabric to my embroidery lady and had monograms done. I made beautiful pillows with fancy trim. They are goign to LOVE them!
Love that lotto ticket idea! Also ...gift certificate for a book store, best buy or music store. Really nice gloves. Good luck.
Funniest gift I ever got was a talking christmas tree that was motion sensitive.
A close second was christmas toilet paper rolls with a motion thing that you put inside the roll that played music every time you pulled a piece off. Grab bags can be fun!
Starbucks or other coffee chain gift card.
Hi. What about a gift card to like bath and body works or kohl's. Just a thought.
What about a small leather wallet or change purse? Maybe some movie tickets? Gift card to an inexpensive restaurant?
Aveda hand relief or foot relief is really nice. Origins has a cute ginger set for $19.50. It smells really good and is a great scent for the winter.
I know what gift I'd like in a grab bag where most of the gifts are something stupid that I wouldn't want. How about a crisp $20.00 bill all wrapped up in a funky package?
Picture frames are always good, or you could do a movie basket with a Blockbuster gift card, popcorn, snacks, etc. We got one and loved it!
Gift card for a restaurant - or one of the ones that is good at a couple of restaurants.
How about making up your own basket. Choose a theme like cooking or movie night. Fill the basket with fun thing for that theme.
EXP. Movie Night. Include microwave popcorn, a beverage, some candy, maybe some snuggle slippers or even a fleece throw. OH don't forget the movie card to Hollywood Video or Blockbuster so they can go rent a movie.
These type of baskets can be so fun.
