My daughter will be one this Nov. She plays with all her older brothers toys, train, cars ect. lol. We are going to get her, her owm Little People bus and plane (they come in pink). That would be cute to get on the bus and one the plane.
My daughters and I have been invited to our Twin cousins' first birthday party. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what to give them for a gift. They are two beautiful little girls. And I would like to get them something appropriate.
Thank you

Also speaking as a mother of twins, if you are planning on getting them a toy, then get them each their own gift and preferably the same gift for each. Even at only 1 year of age, they always wanted to play with the toy their sister had and 2 identical gifts is the only way to go.
But keeping in mind that they are only 1, they really won't know if you give them a toy or not, so something like a savings bond is certainly an option and one that their parents will probably appreciate. Also at age 1, many twins are just starting to outgrow their infant equipment, so asking their mom what they need is definitely a good idea.
My daughter just had her first birthday. She got a bunch of great gifts, and here are a few she really liked: (1) a stuffed animal octopus made by LaMaze. It is big and furry and soft, and if you squeeze the tenatacles, they make musical notes. You can play twinkle, twinkle little star - it's very cute. (2) a school bus with people/shapes inside that the baby can learn to fit shapes into other shapes. As it goes, it plays the song "the wheels on the bus." (3) a baby "boom box" with a button that the baby can learn to press to turn the music on (my daughter has already figured it out.)
My neice got a wooden rocking chair with her name on it for her first birthday. It was adorable and she uses it all the time still. That might be cute if you got one for each girl.
I'm a mother of twins and a teacher. My one important suggestion to you is to make sure you treat them as individuals. Do not buy them something to share. You might be better off buying 2 of the same thing. Unless they have different interest. I would ask the mom which she thinks they would prefer.
Good Luck,
Sue
I have a nephew that "has everything"...mom actually requested no toys at his b-day party. We gave him a bank and a framed picture of a duck for his wall - very colorful :) Another great gift would be something for bath time! At age one, some cute socks with strawberry shortcake or something would be cute...
hi T.,
at 1 yrs old babies don't really paly withjthe toys they already have and i am sure they will receive many at the party from other relatives. myson got savings bonds for his 1 yr b/c they can be used lateron inlife and benefit their future.this is just an idea.
There is a website called: I SEE ME (iseeme.com) that makes lovely personalized gifts. I received two personalized books for my daughter's first birthday. It is a story book with great pictures that spell out her whole name and use her name within the story. I thought it as a great gift.
my daughter just turned 1 this summer and got the playschool ball popper and it's still her fav gift she will play with it for a long time--
hope it's helpful
