If you didn't buy anything yet, I just got sticker stuff off my new fridge by heating it up with a hair dryer and when it was soft, rubbed it off with a cloth. =)
Hi - I just took off the child proof bumpers from our coffee table. They've been there about four years, and it might take me four years to get the sticky adhesive off the tabletop. Does anyone have any suggestions to have it come off easier? Thanks in advance.
Thanks - I'm heading to the store today. :)

Hi cynthia-
I swear by 'goo gone'...I get it at Lowes...It comes in a spray bottle...I have used it on all kinds of surfaces (to include clothing and wood) but would suggest testing a spot first!
Best luck!

Rubbing alcohol or hand santizer will take off both sticky residue and ink. Just test a spot to be sure it doesn't remove the finish.
Goo gone or a similiar orange cleaning should work without damaging anything.
Goo B gone has worked wonders for me. I think it's the same as Goo Gone or Goop Off. As directed, spot test first to make sure it doesn't harm your furniture. I've personally not had a problem.
Use Goo Gone, it works wonders!
Sometimes rubbing the residue with butter or oil will soften it so that you can wipe it off. I use De-Solv-it which has always worked for me. You do have to be careful about using it with plastic because it also desolves some plastics. You can buy it in a spray bottle at the grocery store, Target, or hardware stores. Goop Off or something like that is similar and also works.
Use Butane. You can get it at the grocery store and it comes in a yellow bottle with a blue flip top. Just squirt it on there and rub it off with a cotton cloth. Be sure to just throw the cloth away instead of trying to wash it, you will start a fire in the dryer.
We used to use it at a sunglass store I worked in when I was young. It would never damage the lenses even if they were plastic, mirrored, etc. If you are worried about damage just try a small section first.
I have not had as good of luck with Goo B Gone, sometimes it damages surfaces.
Good luck!
Try Goo Gone--just be careful it doesn't take the finish off the table as well:).
