When you're at home make him go back into the bathroom and keep wiping until he gets it right. Raising kids is long and tedious but practice makes better. my son is 6. Kids get into a hurry and that's the problem even for us adults. Stop and pay attention to yourselves. Sounds simple but it is work. We got to do it. Good Luck!

I have a four yr old daughter, and I have the same issue. I go behind her and wipe all the time, because I have this phobia that she may get meningitis or something, weird huh, lol. I have tried to teach her the proper way to wipe both the front and back, but i still go behind her. I really dont know what to do either. I think its especially hard for little girls, cause once they become a young lady, its important for them to keep up with feminine hygiene so they wont smell and all. I guess all we can do is keep trying.

My oldest had the same problem when she was 4, finally I had to stick to my guns and say NO I am not doing it for u., U have to do it, it is time for u to learn, you will be starting kindergarden next yr and mommy wont be there to wipe you so u have to learn, now I did put out some wipes for her and tell her to use them, and she started doing it and does fine now.

i have a four year old son too!! I started refusing to go in the bathroom......or i would go in hand him the toilet paper, tell him to wipe and that i would wipe after he did. After a week of that i started telling him to do it and i would refuse to so he would have too!! Stand your ground and don't back down!! Good Luck
