A.S.
i remember reading somewhere that stimulating the nipples can sometimes start contractions.....worth a try. maybe the husband would'nt mind helping with that one. Good Luck!
ok, so my due date is today, 02/17/2008. i am soooooo ready to not be pregnant anymore. my whole body is sore, from my shoulders all the way down to my butt!!!!!
how can i encourage this little one to hurry up and make his grand debut?
i know that sex and big o's are supposed to facilitate things, but i have an unwilling partner (he's worried about hurting me or the baby)
H-E-L-P!!!!!!!!!
well, i had my ob appointment on monday afternoon. due to high blood pressure, and some protein in my urine they went ahead and induced me. that was my first time with that experience. it was a LOOOONG night too!!!! from a scare of maybe having a c-section because his heart rate dropped suddenly, to his little hand being up near his head every time they checked me. in the end, his was born without too much fuss, at 7:27 tuesday morning(go figure, they were all born on tuesdays!!!). a healthy 7 pounds, 14 ounce. beautiful baby boy

Well Cinthia I think that you are going to deliver by Tuesday (just because of statistics) so, my advice is to make sure your packed. lol.
Walking helps and according to the "old ways", so does caster oil. I know having it induced was recommended, but I have to tell you, being induced means you will have a large amount of pain squished into a tiny time frame.
Infinite Blessings to you.
call you doctor and ask to be induced, I was in the same position last year and it was perfect, she induced me the next morning and i had my beautiful baby girl by 7p that same evening! if you get induced, it will probably go faster for you since you have already had two others...good luck!
Walking. Lots of walking. I've had 4 so I know exactly where your coming from. May I suggest drving to a nice big indoor mall and walking laps with a cell phone handy... just in case it works too well ;o)
do a lot of walking. i've also heard spicy foods and some other wivestales.
My daughter was a week late, and my OBGYN scheduled an induction (their policy) but I did NOT want to be induced. So my midwife offered to 'strip my membranes' to start the process of labor and it worked! She did that at 3pm, I started having some contractions around 6pm, and I had my daughter at 1am. All natural, no pitocin, or epidural, etc...so consider asking your OB about 'stripping membranes' :0)
