I'm interested in hearing from people who have a George Foreman Grill. I would like to know the following (please):

1. Do you like it or not? And if so, what model do you have/recommed.
2. If it has made a real difference in getting healthy + quick food onto the dinner table
3. Are they easy to clean? I'm hearing bad things about cleaning them.
4. What types of foods do you make on them? Please include recipes ideas too, if you don't mind.

Thank everyone =)

Love ours! We got our first one as a wedding gift and laughed ... until we finally used it! Very easy to clean. We do steaks, chicken, pork chops on them. The fat drips right off, but the meat isn't dry. There is a recipe book included for ideas.

We're on our second one now. I don't think there is too much difference in the models. Our first one had plates that couldn't be removed and the new ones come out for washing.

Hi,
I have an old one where the plates do not remove.. not too hard to clean if you clean right away with a sponge or a paper towel and soap.. but my friends have the new ones with the removable plates and love them.. yes great for quick healthy meals :) sometimes I buy the chicken breast that are already seasoned and grill them.. hamburgers.. my kids love grilled cheese and we make grilled sandwiches all the time.. so I vote yes on a fast healthy meal.

I love the George Foreman Grill!!! This thing makes life so easy. You can put frozen turkey burgers, chicken, make a grilled panini and have it ready within minutes. Although if you defrost the frozen meats over night and then the next day put it in the Grill it will taste better and be less dry. It is super easy to clean, I just use a sponge with hot water and soap and wipe it clean. It does take about 5 minutes to do it by hand but not difficult at all.
As for recipes I love turkey patties or grilled chicken breast to make chicken tacos. This is a great go to device when in a hurry for a last minute meal.

Hi T.,

I have had 2 of them. The first one with the blue lid. I liked it because it was quick. Clean-up was a breeze even if I didn't do it right away. If something would stick... just plug it back in, heat it up and use the little white spatula to help clean it. Now I have the interchangeable plates. Still fantastic. The only thing I do not put on it is fish.. my husband is a fish fanatic.. and it tastes like BLAHHH.. in his opinion. I love the fact that I can see how much fat and grease IS NOT Staying in my dinner.

Get it>> any of them.. it is well worth it.

Well, we had the original one that the plates are permanently in the grill and used it quite a bit. We usually cook hamburgers or sometimes steak on them. My husband would clean them afterwards using a bit of abrasive sponge and paper towels.

The other night when I came home I noticed that he was cooking on a new one with removable plates. So much easier to clean plus it offers a grill-type plate. He works at Bed Bath & Beyond so I never know what he will come home with next.

I vote for the removable plate one. It's a bit pricier than the other one but so worthwhile. I believe a recipe book comes with them... I'm not sure.
