Hi mamas,
My little girl is 7 months now, and we have been on solids for barely over a month. I give her each new food for about 5 days, and she really LOVES eating so far. The problem in this story is that she can't really tolerate vegetables. She has had peas, sweet potatoes, and green beans which have all given her TERRIBLE gas! Carrots are the only vegetable she can tolerate so far. I have tried just giving her Mylicon and we also have Colic Calm, but when she is gassy from veggies she is even gassy through these meds! She RARELY cries, so when she is freaking out from gas it breaks my heart! I don't want her to miss out on the nutrition of these veggies, just wondering if any of you ladies has some great advice? Thanks!!

What can I do next?

Are you giving her the Mylicon before she eats? Try giving it to her a little while before eating - it seemed to work better for my daughter that way. And honestly, my daughter wouldn't eat anything BUT carrots - nothing green went into my child until probably the last 8 months. I know, I know - terrible. But you can't force a child to eat when they spit it everywhere! LOL Now, she'll eat green beans like they're going out of style - and I didn't worry too much back then, because she was still getting a bottle, so she still got all of the vitamins she was missing in the green veggies. Maybe just do the gassy veggies a couple of times a week - her little system might have to get used to them.

Hello M..
I am so sorry your wee little one is having such troubles.
I'm not sure with the results you have had with the other 2 gas relief drops if this will work...
But, I have found that we prefer "Gripe Water" to the others mentioned.
It provides our 3 mo the relief she needs almost immediately. Of course her gas comes from the foods I eat since she is still nursing.
I hope it can help.

M.,

It is quite possible that your little girl has allergies. Visit www.naet.com for a way to naturally and non-invasively ELIMINATE them. Kudos on giving her probiotics already, that is awesome! Please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like more information.

For my 7 month old when he gets gassy and has stomach issues I give him Gripe Water. I like it better than Mylicon drops. It seems to cure his gas issue with in minutes. It is an all natural solution made up of ginger and fennel. I hope it works for you as well as it does for us.
