I recently started Weight Watchers and am in week 3 right now. I have a 3 month old who is exclusively breast fed. She never fussed or cried until about 2 weeks ago.....nights are rough, days are starting to be rough too, she is miserable...not sure what the heck! I think its definatly tummy issues because she gets wiggly, pulls up and kicks her legs etc. Do you think my new veggie/bean filled diet could be affecting her? The pediatrician told me after 3 mo what i eat shouldnt affect the breastmilk anymore. Thoughts?

Normally she is happiest right after she eats...now she gets so fussy right after. Is there sonething else it could be? What can i do to prevent this or help her?? Maybe Beano with my meals? I dont have gas pains but maybe it could take any extra out of my food before it gets to her? Can too much Mylicon hurt them? Thanks for any thoughts!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

So I cut beans out and it seems to have cleared her right up...but I also havent had brocoli/cauliflower either...so thanks for all the responses...it breaks a mom's heart to see her baby so upset!

I definitely think beans affected my milk and made gassy babies.

I think it's ridiculous how your pediatrician said after 3 months it won't matter... of course it still does! Your baby isn't tolerating something you're eating. Keep a food journal and note how baby does after certain foods. Def start with removing beans, and go from there. Avoid artificial sugars, while sweetening with stevia or agave... and I'd avoid Mylicon too much. Instead I had better results with Hyland's Colic Tablets for gas. Maybe baby can't tolerate so much fiber and stool is harder to pass. Best wishes to you both!

I would say that if you are eating a lot of beans it is probably gassing her up even if it does not do it to you! I would check the doseg info on the mylicon drops and how often you can give it to her. I used to give my boys those like candy almost.

Good luck and God Bless!

I would cut out so many beans rather than give more Mylicon. You surely could find something not so bad for her to eat that could be on the weight watchers list. Check with them.
