Try some probiotics first and see if they help. They sell different brands some you only need to take once a day. It will help your digestive system and should help get rid of the bloating.
I was just wondering if any of you experience extreme bloating? I have it almost every day with some days worse than others, some days I look like I am about 4 months pregno with it being worse at night. Do any of you have any advice? I read a few posts online about garlic pills working & was wondering if any of you have tried/have any other things to try. Thanks for the help ladies.

Have you ever been tested for Celiac disease (gluten intolerance)? Many people I know who are truly Celiacs, when they eat gluten they develop a "gluten baby" effect with extreme bloating that can be very painful.
I believe we, as a society, eat far too much gluten and I manage my family's intake significantly, BUT, DON'T replace gluten with other processed foods labeled "gluten-free". My rule is: if I can't reproduce it in my kitchen, I'm not eating it. Therefore, things like guar gum, or malodextrose are not allowed in any gluten-free products I purchase.
Sorry - this didn't really address the garlic pills question. However, garlic is a great natural antibiotic and antiviral and we take it during the cold and flu season months as a staple in our immunity-boosting aresenal. I second Jackie's reply too. Get a good probiotic and take it daily. I find that more effective in general immune and digestive health than any daily multi (which we don't take). 80% of your immune system is in your gut flora, so keeping that area happy makes a big difference!

I get same thing (had testing) and he narrowed it down to ibs. Try probiotics and stay away from too much caffeine and gum chewing. Never heard about garlic but in researching stomach bug "cures", activated charcoal was a huge one for bloating. Search it online and see what you think. Really watch what you eat, as I'm amazed at how many things are on the "bloating" list. I feel for you, as days I look 4 months pregnant too. It is such a yucky feeling.

Well there ya go! Apparently people can be intolerant to the Fructans in garlic and a few other foods.

I feel sorry for you, I couldn't live without garlic. :(
food allergies could be a culprit - try cutting out wheat (gluten) and dairy for one month and pay attention to how you feel, particularly as you add it back in.
The other thing to get checked out is ovarian cancer. I don't say this to scare you, but it is one of the symptoms. Please go to your Dr and get checked, just to have peace of mind for yourself.
good luck!
