So I am a young mom and I got the Gardasil Vaccines the 3 shots. The main reason I did them was so that I could experience the effects before I actually allow my Daughter to get it. She is young now but I wouldn’t give it to her unless I knew for myself it was safe.

I got Sick with all three shots. Very very sick with the second and third. They Hurt and BURNED! I am so glad I never have to get another one J

My question is for Younger moms who got the Gardasil vaccine…… then got pregnant. Were there any effects? Please post even if you had no effects
I feel really awful with this pregnancy and have had some cramping. Could it be due to the vaccines??? I had the last one about 7 months ago.
TIA ladies

Please do some more research before considering giving them to your daughter. I've read a couple of articles written by respected medical people saying that there are the possibility of serious side effects and that they would not give them to their daughters. I think that there has actually been a death. If I find some time I'll try to find the articles.

I admire your decision to try out the shots first!

There was a similar question asked a year ago by a woman on this link: http://community.babycenter.com/post/a8422605/gardasil_an...

If you don't find many women who got the shot and then got preggers on mamasource, maybe you can email the woman who asked the question...?

Hope it helps.

I haven't personally taken the shots. There was a college student at my job that took two of the shots and she was in a lot of pain and sick. If it were me I would not give to my daughter. We have been on this earth for a very long time without pharmaceutical companies creating things to help our bodies heal or protect itself. Think and do much research before you give them to her. I will get off my soapbox as this is a touchy subject with me. The other S.. PS I do have a daughter who is 33 so yes I do understand your concern.

I did get the vaccine and then got pregnant. I didn't have any problems with the shot. As far as I know, I didn't have any pregnancy problems. My child after the shot has Down's. I don't know that the vaccine had anything to do with that.

I was counting the days down to until they got the vaccine on the market due to previous issues. Hoping that would protect skin tissue that hadn't been affected by HPV. I am last stage before cancer on a body part you really don't want removed. I am keeping a close eye on it and having it lasered frequently to preserve things.

About a year went by in-between the vaccine and the pregnancy. I am just glad I have some time before having to decide whether to give it to my daughter. HPV can be VERY serious.

I haven't had it but won't give it to my daughter. Too many very negative side effects.
