Where can you find furniture tethers? Not all of our furniture that needs to be secured has a tether. I've looked at Babies R Us, Amazon, and done a Google search but found nothing. Any suggestions?
I really wanted to get this done quickly so I tried Lowe's and they didn't have any so I tried Home Depot and they didn't either. I ended up buying from onestepahead.com. I never imagined these things would be so hard to find. Even got a safety box to put medications in. Thanks for the help!
Lowes in the babyproofing section. They are in clear plastic bags.
Depending on what you want secured, even simple L brackets will do, esp for shelves, dressers, entertainment units, etc. If you want to secure big things like stoves (where it hooks into the foot), and the device doesn't come with the unit, then a home improvement place would have it, esp. online. Good luck!
Buy Buy Baby has a good selection.
Target. Safety 1st makes some tethers.
We ordered all of ours for our first from One Step Ahead then after baby #2 we found that Buy Buy Baby sells them too. The best part of BBB is that they take Bed Bath and Beyond 20% coupons aswell as their own.
We made our own by screwing cuphooks into the back of the furniture and into a stud in the wall. We connect the hooks using a chain (the size depends on the weight of the furniture being held). This makes it easy for an adult to unhook the furniture if it needs to be moved.
Try www.onestepahead.com . They carry a ton of safety items. Good luck!
