I am wanting to find out if there is a store that buys furniture in the Dallas area. I am getting ready to purchase a couple of new items for the house and interested in finding out if there is a place that purchases gently used furniture

Have you tried Once Upon A Child? They are a children's consignment store. It's a chain so there are several stores. But keep in mind this is the holidays and there are some out there who have a need for these items, you might want to maybe donate to a women's or family shelter, it's just a thought.

I hope you enjoy the holidays!

I don't know, but if you don't know of a place you can try selling it on craigslist. Good luck!

J.,
here is a place in NE Dallas (Lake Highlands) where you can take your used furniture. THere are a few rules/guidelines but otherwise it's open for all sorts of furniture. mostly the restrictions are for large pieces. Give them a call though b/c i never seem to be surprised by what that accept. they also handle estate sales. Plus when you bring in furniture you can bring in "knick Knacks" as well....from dishes to pictures to jewelry. So, that's a plus if you are clearing out odds and ends.

see their info here:

they do a lot of business and pay 50/50.

You can sell it yourself in less than a day on Craig's List.
I list on Saturday or Sunday afternoon and often have it gone
within half an hour. I've recently replaced two bedrooms,
and my dining room.

Dear J.,
There is a very nice consignment store in Frisco. I cannot remember the name of it, but if you drive to Sam Moons and drive behind the store and keep going to the next portion of store area you will find this store. It is next to a very large shoe outlet store. They have great furniture and you can place your used furniture on consignment.

Hope you find it.
Blessings,
L.
