do it your self... rent a machine from a store they have all the things there to do it... I did mine with carpet cleaner..
I am in need of having my furniture cleaned. I found something else but need to sell this first. Its only 2 yrs old but does not suit our need. We need a sofa. This is a 3 pc. set. Love seat, 2 oversized chairs and an ottoman. I do not know what the material is. Its a blue "courduroy like" material with tan cording. Its in great shape, just want to get it cleaned if I can find someone reasonable. I have gotten a quote from Stanley Steamer and its over $250.00. Thats more than I want to spend. Its only really the Love seat that needs it. Does anyone know anyone who does this? Or have had experience with them? Want to get done ASAP. Thanks in advance....
OK so I decided to go buy a cleaning machine. I went to Walmart (it was $25.00 cheaper than Kohls), and bought the Little Green Machine. I did the love seat twice (backbreaking) and it looks streaked. It is a big difference but not GREAT. I'm doing the chairs today so we will see what happens. The "machine" has too wide of a spray on it (no adjusting). I sprayed everything around the love seat. I got a plastic bottle and put in the solution in it and then sprayed that on the furniture and then used the machine to suck it up. Don't really like this machine too well. Guess I should have gone and rented one. Perhaps it is better. Oh well. You live and learn. Thanks for all the ideas though. It got me doing something instead of talking about it. ha, ha

I'm sure you can have it done cheaper, but my parents and I have been using Stanley Steamer for furniture, oriental rugs, and drapery for as long as I can remember. They really do a fantastic job.
I also agree that renting a steam cleaner and doing it yourself would probably be the cheapest way to go. We have rented steam cleaners from Hom Depot to do our wall to wall carpet and they worked really well. They usually come with furniture attachments to clean apolstery.
Good luck!
You can rent one. You can also buy one for yourself at Kohl's or somewhere else for cheaper than that and you will own it. I saw one last week on sale for $50 to $100 dollars.
I know that you can rent a shampooer, like a "Rug Doctor" and get it with the upholstery brushes and do it your self...it is easy just time consuming. I think they rent for like $30. Just an idea.

If you live in the Houston area, I have the PERFECT guy for you! We met him when we first moved to the area 13 years ago when we had ordered a couch that got delivered with a big grease stain on it. We called the company who sent it and they said they would send someone out to clean it. My husband and I were very skeptical, but they assured us the couch would be replaced if the stain didn't come out. He did such a great job on it that he has been cleaning our furniture and carpeting ever since. His name is Donald Lee and his company is Champions Carpet Cleaning ###-###-####. He does a great job. Please tell him C. Schoeller sent you.
Good luck!
