I recommend Dr. Cool and Professor Heat. They are located in League City. I have used them for years and have known the owners since they first started the company back in the 1980s. Their service personel are very professional and up to date on their repair skills.

When we moved in two years ago, we moved in to discover the heater was broken and it happened to coincide with the night of the first freeze. After many frantic calls, this company was so helpful. They came right out and they repaired it for a fraction of what other companies charge. Since that time, everytime we have called for help, they have offered to tell us what to do so we don't have to pay. They are GREAT!!!! They have great customer service, their prices can't be beat, and they know their stuff!

I would like to suggest my cousin. He used to work for ARS,but has recently been laid off due to the current economy issues .He is trying to work side jobs at this time and has his own equiptment /work van . Although I do not have a recommendation for who can fix your heater…I would suggest if you don’t already have one, to get a carbon monoxide detector; I bought mine at Costco for under $30 dollars. I’m not trying to scare you but my friends’ furnace went out last month (in New York) and luckily had a carbon monoxide detector, and they had to call the fire department to inspect their home. The fire department told them the carbon monoxide levels were lethal and they would have died if they didn’t have this devise to warn them. (Granted the furnace had a hole in it didn’t help any) My friends family was spared because of this simple devise…so when I read your comment I thought I would mention this…better to be safe than sorry…Good Luck…and make sure the people that do come are bonded and insured.

Call Barry at Sureair ###-###-####. Good company and they stand behind their work.

Heaters DO blow cold air at times. It doesn't mean they're not working properly. Does it blow warm air, too? If it does, it is just regulating itself.

Anyway, my A/C-Heating company is very reliable and honest. I don't have their number at my computer, but they are Cosmic A/C and Heating. They are located in Stafford, but they work all over the Houston area (I live in NW Houston by Willowbrook Mall.) Their owner is named Rocky. Usually he'll come or send his son. Tell them that "S." from Pemberwick Park referred you.

Blackburn Service Company ###-###-#### is Awesome! They came right away when our A/C went out this blazing summer-it was even on a Sunday! Then our heater did the same thing as yours and they came out ASAP and they are so reasonable in cost.

If you're in the Woodlands/Spring/Conroe area, I recommend Hal Watson. They are great. I've been using them for years--our last house had an old system and they did everything they could to keep it working, even came out on July 4th weekend. Now we have a different house with a new system, I still use them to service the system every spring and winter.

If you are in the San Antonio area I recommend Aramendia......The owners are very nice people.
