-I can't stand to not floss, I just can't. So when I finish my dental floss and I can't get out and get a new one (even if I normally have many at home, and in my purse) I have found something that works almost as well: plastic bag!
I brake a strip and stretch it until is thing enough.

-Or when I don't have any hair spray I would use lime.

-Mascara for cover grays, lol.

My husband gets a laugh when he sees me get use of this stuff, he always ask me: What year is it?, lol.

Do you have other silly uses for stuff?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Oh the wonderful things a lime can do, including natural highlights!
Cinnamon for stop ants, that is great, we already start to have many.

When I was a teen and living with my mom we would eat tons of natural food (back in the day when this was cheaper then meat, lol)and she would teach me to use fruits, vegetables, spices and other around the house things for other stuff.
She didn't let me use make up but when ever she would buy beets, she would let me use them and put it on my lips (as a lip stain), I still do it when I buy them now, and the stain last more then many other lipsticks... and is 100% natural, lol.

Matchbook 'strike strip' for a nail file in a pinch!

Strike a match after a BM in public restroom (or to be nice at home) to help eliminate bad odor.

Dig your fingers in a bar of soap before gardening, then cleaning under fingernails is a breeze!

Use a toothbrush (instead of tossing it - after you are done with it of course) for cleaning bathroom sinks (behind faucet), shower door tracks, detailing around toilet and seat, etc.

Toothpicks for cleaning anything small: under fingernails, between keys on keyboard, tiny crevices in furniture, etc.

Olive oil for any skin care! I use it on my hands at night, dry elbows, my son's cheeks when they get chapped, our lips......anything!!

In a bind I use lemon for hair spray or deodorant.
My favorite is vinegar; I use it in place of lemon on any food, buttermilk substitute, cleaning (with baking soda, great for cleaning drains), cleaning after ants.
Cinnamon to create a barrier for ants (they don't cross it) and I don't like to use chemicals because they're not safe with my kids around.
I'm always reading about and using herbs for home remedies.
Glad to learn others, you, are creative in using substitute products.:)

My mom used dental floss to fix a broken toilet tank stopper chain. It lasted for nearly a decade.

Hair spray will stop a run or snag in panty hose (until you wash it, of course).

I've also used cinnamon to stop ants.

Fun post! Thanks!

hmmm...I use toothpaste and a toothbrush for jewelry cleaner. Coconut oil (or olive oil) for hair and skin care. Back in the day (when I had long hair), I'd use two pencils as hair sticks... I remember when people would use eggs to hold mohawks...

Cinnamon? wow! Im totally gonna try that. How does lime work?
