I just answered the financial advice in your marriage question and no joke my husband called to ask if he could buy a cast iron skillet :). (I replied basically with a yours, mine, and ours accounts...but that I "control" the money and my husband knows to only spend what I say is available...)
He knows to ask because I told him we were flat out of money until we get paid on Thursday again, but I'll let this one slide - I might be able to get him to cook weekend breakfasts for us!

I was sitting in my office this afternoon talking to a co-worker about how much my husband and I just want to move back to FL to be with my family. My phone rang mid-conversation and it was my husband who saw a job posting that I may be interested in.
Happens all the time!
We have the "over $200" rule too- unless it's something we've already discussed and he sees it on sale or I see it on sale for a better price, then no need to call first!
Oh yeah.... So often I start a sentence with " that's so funny/weird/odd I was just talking about........."
Oh and my husband and I just gave a rule got each other , if it's over 100 dollars and not essential we just discuss it first . Sometimes it just really depends on the mood.
Might I add that if your husband wants to buy a cast iron skillet he must know a thing or two in the kitchen...... Congratulations....:0)
thats my husband and i only its me asking to get something lol
my husband is not obliged to discuss his purchases with me, he only has to save the receipts and if he brings something home i am not obliged to discuss with him why i am returning the purchase if i think it's a silly one :) it works for us. democracy all around.
