You should sign your daughters up for our Spring Break or Summer Camp - www.AdventureDayCamps.com - they could experience a lot of different activities and meet some new friends :-)
My daughter is 8 years old and would like to play a sport. I've never signed her up for anything so we don't know a lot about any sports :( We are mainly looking to make some new friends and get some good activity while we are at it :) She is homeschooled and I just thought this would be fun for her this spring. I see a lot of signs up for sign up but I don't know if these are for players who don't know the sport. We need something that would start at the beginning. We live in the N. Fort Worth/Keller area and would like something close to home.
She has expressed an interest in basketball and volleyball but I don't have a clue where we would go for that?
TIA

Northpark YMCA has girls volleyball for spring. They're programs are typically pretty entry-level and non-competetive, so a good place to start.
We have quite a few home schooled children that come and take martial arts at our karate school. Legends Martial Arts. The website is www.legendsmartialarts.com.

My daughter started playing softball at 9 and loved it and still plays (she is 12.5). She started tennis at 10 and also loves it. I would try one of those.
