Our birthday parties we have a variety of choices (though not all at one party.
1 The tortilla wraps with the cream cheese...we call them pinwheels.
2. Chicken nuggets, LIttle smokies or Pizza Rolls
3. Fruits and Veggies (you can find them cut in a floral basket or try to do it yourself) with chocolate or veggie dip
4. Nachos with cheese dip
6. Banana Wraps (Tortilla spread with peanut butter and wrapped around a banana)
7. Sundaes with a variety of toppings, chocolate syrup, chocolate sprinkles, nuts, gummi bears, rainbow sprinkles, marshmellows, whipped cream and cherries
8. Sanwiches cut shapes using a cookie cutter.
9. Cracker, cheese and meat trays
10. Chex Mix

Just a few of ours (we throw all sorts of parties) ;)

Anything that requires dippy!! (yes, 'dippy' is a word my daughters came up with)... Chicken fingers are great, sooo easy to just throw in the oven. Dip them in BBQ sauce, ranch, honeymustard, ketchup... Fruit and veggie trays are great too, with yogurt dip for the fruit, ranch or blue cheese or hummus for the veggies... you can buy those little 'thimble cups' like they have at McDonalds at most grocery stores, so there's not risk of double dipping ;) For desert, making your own ice cream sundae with loads of options for toppings is fun, or pre-frost cupcakes or cookies and have an assortment of toppings. I'm big on letting kids create their own stuff, this way, if someone doesn't like something, they don't feel pressured to eat it because there's nothing else available. Have fun!

For Savory- any kind of dippable (is that a word?) finger food:
mini eggrolls with sweet & sour sauce
chicken tenders with bbq sauce or honey mustard
chips and queso
pizza crust with pepperoni dip (basically marinara with pepperoni and ricotta dropped into it topped with mozzarella and baked at 350 for 30 min- YUM!)
naan (indian bread) with hummus or labna (greek yogurt dip)
pigs in a blanket with mustard
pita chips with spinach artichoke dip

For something sweet:
Mini fruit pizzas:
Make large sugar cookies and top with cream cheese icing (1 8oz. package cream cheese, 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 cup cool whip mixed well) and your favorite fruit- I use any kind of berry, melon, banana and kiwi SUPER good!
Chocolate fountain is always a hit. Serve with marshmallows, any kind of fruit, pretzels, pound cake, and pretty much anything you wouldn't mind dipped in chocolate (is there such a thing?). Don't forget skewers.

Good thing is adults love these kid friendly things just as much as kids! Good luck! Hope the party is a blast!

These are my tried and true resources when I want to entertain. Most of my parties are for 80+ so I really do use these sites. The site familyfun.com will have the most suitable for your situation, but the others are fun too.

NACHO BAR
fill one crock pot with a big can of nacho cheese
fill one crock pot with a big can of good quality chili
fill one squeezer with sour cream (slightly thinned with milk)
put tortilla chips in a big aluminum tray and bake slightly until warm

FRUIT KABOBS
Put grapes, pinneapple, marshmallows, melon cubes, banana chunks, on an oblong platter. Arrange them in groups (strips) on the platter. Put out wooden squewers. Let the kids make their own kabobs. You can have strawberry yogurt or chocolate sauce in a sqeezer or as a dip.

Mini muffins.

You can make your own "cups" of goodies out of biscuit dough. Separate a flakey biscuit and press one half gently into a pam-coated muffin tin. You can fill it will cooked sausage and cheese, or egg, bacon, and cheese, or shredded pork and bbq sauce (the possibilites are endless). Bake almost until done (less 5 minutes), put them in the fridge, and the next day put them on a cookie sheet and bake them for 5 minutes to heat them.

You can cut hot dogs in half or thirds and wrap a pilsbury croissont dough triangle around it and bake it. Or you can take mini party weiners or meatballs and put them in a crock pot with bbq sauce or Yoshida's sweet and savory sauce (my favorite.)

You can let the kids make mini pizzas on mini pizza peels (I tried english muffins and they were yucky) they can use olive pieces to make faces on them. This is a lot of work though, running pizzas in and out of the oven.

My first thought was "I love those little tortilla wrap slices." I think kids like those too, but I'm not 100% sure. They have meat or guacamole or sour cream or cream cheese - lots of variety. Here in Texas we like queso with chips as well as quesadillas and 7-layer dip (all adult/kid friendly). Don't all kids and adults like deviled eggs? Every party I've been to, both adults & kids are eating them. Found this link. Make the eggs look like little sailboats. http://familyfun.go.com/recipes/appetizers-snacks/finger-... Good luck.
