We've always had date night weekly and we are going on 23 yrs marriage. We have a 17 yr old and we did not miss date nights. It is vital to your marriage,,, GOOD FOR YOU!!!
So, you are in Allen (We Love Allen, Plano, Dallas area)
Top Golf is a load of fun and right here in Allen. We were just there again this past week. You don't have to be a pro golfer to go have fun. Good food, lots of fun.
The VIllage of Fairview and Village of Allen both have good restaurants and fun things to do. The Fairview side has a wine walk and beer walk you can go on for tastings. Splitz is a fun bowling alley for adults mostly, the cinema, used to be Gold something now a new name has cushy chairs and blankets for your movies and good food. The Allen Event Center always has something going on. I think the Allen Hockey team plays tonight, Arena football is there too.
We enjoy great restaurants like Del Frisco's, III Forks, Ruth Chris, Patrizio, Maggianio, etc. We don't go to the priciest ones weekly but we do enjoy getting out and fine dining.
Watters Creek, right here in Allen as well. Today they are having Luck Duck Kids Club which is a lot of fun for children. During Spring, summer fall, they have live music on Thurs-Sat nights. You can eat on the grass and picnic or at one of the places near by and dine. NOTE: This is more family oriented so if you are looking more for one on one private time, you might not enjoy this as much. It is still fun to sit on the patio of Grimaldis having wine and great pizza or at Cru Bar tasing wine flights, or the Londoner with fish and chips. All good food, we love each of the restaurants there and have been to all of them more than once except Blue Fish.
We like adult time and another spot that is hopping for adults is the Shops of Legacy at Legacy and the tollway. Great food, music, etc. They have the Anjelica Theatre which carries some Indy films, Sambuca 360 for happy hour, Lots of new places I have not even been to yet.
So now you say this is spending a lot of $$. Well you don't have to spend a lot of $$. You can go to both Villages of Allen/Fairview, Watters Creek and Shops of Legacy and stroll at no charge people watching, etc.
We are not big movie buffs but Studio Grill in West Plano is fun.
Beginning in May there are a lot of good festivals to go to with good music. The wildflower festival at telecom valley (75/Campbell/gatalyn) area is a lot of fun and they have good bands.
The Eiseman Center in Richardson has good concerts.
It is fun to watch the Dallas Mavericks and Texas Rangers for sports. Frisco Roughriders are a lot of fun to watch as well.
PM me if you want more ideas. Welcome to Allen! We love it and I hope you do too.
