Fun and Cheap Activites

There are always LOTS of little ones there and moms and my son and I love it. Nathan is 13 months old. I have lots of friends that have 2 year olds and babies under a year as well.

We always go to this:

It is called MOMS -n- TOTS, but is good for crawlers, sitters, and older kids as well. It's so nice to have a bunch of large muscle activities for the kiddos in a contained area!!!

Moms with babies are also welcome to just come hang out. Just bring a blanket and let the babies get some tummy time. Enjoy the GREAT air conditioning with us!!!

The OLEC building on West St. in Germantown-just south of Baby Gap in Saddle Creek. It's hosted by Germantown United Methodist Church.

The OLEC is a brick building. As you walk in the doors, the gym will be on your right.
Please remember to sign in, as the church likes to keep track of the utilization of the open gym playtime.

Directions from 240:
Merge onto I-240 W via EXIT 12C toward JACKSON MISS
Take the US-72 E / POPLAR AVE exit- EXIT 15- toward GERMANTOWN
Turn onto POPLAR AVE / US-72 E / TN-57 E
Turn right on WEST ST

From Collierville:
Go west on Poplar, past Germantown Rd.
Turn Left onto WEST ST.

Once you pass the train track on West St, you'll find OLEC building on your right hand side. The door/entrance is on the far left if you face the building.

I take my kids to Pump it Up. There is one in Germantown and one in Bartlett. I don't know what Bartlett's hours are, but Germantown does a play time every Tues and Wed. from 10-11:30. It is $7 for kids 2 and older. So you would have to pay for the twins but not the 7 month old. It's a great energy burner!

Where in Memphis are you? There is a water park in Midtown and one in Collierville. The zoo has several air conditioned buildings (farm, reptiles, aquarium). The children's museum has a great space for kids under 4 years old. Davis Kidd has a train table but sometimes the kids have trouble sharing. The libraries all offer story times. The fire museum (downtown) is free on Tuesday afternoons.

Childrens museum of memphis is a great place to let them run. It may be a little pricey though.
