Frozen Juice Can Lid Crafts

I have a billion frozen juice can lids. I'm trying to find some fun things to do with them. I have two little boys who would love to do them, and I like to join in the fun.
The only things I have thought to do are painting three of them white and making a jointed snowman. Maybe wire them together. And I just thought that we could use one as the base for a turkey.
And I've also seen where you punch holes in them (in a pattern) with a nail and hammer to make a Christmas ornament. The 4.5 year old could do that, but I think it's over my 2.5 year olds' abilities.
I remember reading somewhere that you can make chain mail "armour" for a kid's halloween costume, but we're going with a cowboy this year.
I googled "juice can lid craft" and got mostly fishing games and memory games. That's not what I want.
Does anyone have any fun things to do with these lids? Or should I just recycle them?

What can I do next?

Turn them into a matching game. Put a sticker on one can and the letter that it starts with on another can. There are so many possibilites you can do with the memory game idea; match lower case letters with uppercase letters, match numbers with corresponding dots, things that go together, etc. Have fun and let your boys help.

As far as crafts you could cut shapes out of sponges and glue them to the can to make stamps that you can paint with.

Get some clay. we used polymer clay and made snakes out of them wrapped them around the lids add photos and gave them for Christmas gifts mix colors and make marbled snakes . My son was 2 at the time we did this and he had fun. I had to help move his hand every once and a while to roll out the snakes even

I saw the coolest project for 100's day at school. Someone took an old coffee can and juice lids and turned it into wind chimes. They had them hanging by string in a decending order around the can. It was not painted but was so cool!

Glue a magnet on the back and then have the kids glue pictures of family members and pets on the front.
