Moroccan Oil - It's kind of expensive, but you don't have to use a lot of it to take care of the frizz... I LOVE it and don't know what I would do without it :-)
Anyone found any great product for frizzy hair? In South Texas its a year long battle. My hair is shoulder length, I color it a lot to hide the grey and very frizzy
Thanks in advance!

I use mousse instead of hair gel. The mousse is lighter and not so gooey when hit with humidity.
I also use Gloss Therapy by Aphogee. I get it at Sally's Beauty Supply. I use about a dime size squirt in my hand then put it in my hair while it is wet. It makes the light reflect off and makes the hair shiny and much much smoother.
Try a Keratin treatment, it is a smoothing system done at the salon...it is pricey, but lasts 3-5 months and your frizzies will be gone. They even have an Express Keratin Tx that lasts 3-4 weeks and much less expensive so maybe you can try it out.
I had it, its fabulous....can't afford it these days, so use a flat iron to smooth away the frizz.....
I'm a hairstylist and it depends greatly on your hairtype. But I really love Sebastien number 9's leave in deep conditioner styling cream. Paul Mitchell has a good one too called simply, The Cream.
Also, a salt spray helps whisk the moisture out of your hair. You can even make it yourself;

I also have frizzy hair. I use the Suave Salon moisturizing shampoo with shea butter and something or other, it works really well (and it won't break the bank!)
There is also a product that I love called Dirt. It's a Jonathan product and you can find it at Sephora. It's a texturizing paste that makes your hair behave. You know how your hair is always more behaved the second day after washing, this stuff makes it behave like that right after washing and a little bit goes a long way!
I live in CentralTexas and have the same problem. Aveda Style Prep is amazinh for frizz.
I use the Wen Hair Care System... LOVE IT but a huge tip is to NOT towel dry your hair. I keep paper towels in my bathroom and use them and gently squeeze/scrunch my hair. The fibers in the towel rough up your hair's cuticles CAUSING frizz.
i find that when i flat iron my hair it helps but i also use loads of conditioner and bio silk. i even use a leave in conditioner. and hair spray! i use the lightest hold hairspray from aussie. (sp?) my hair is extreamly thick and goes wild if i dont do these things. when using the bio silk with the flat iron i use a very small amount or my hair comes out greasy looking :/
I shampoo every other day and condition everyday. After the shower while its still soaking wet I put in some leave in conditioner. Then dry with a microfiber towels.
When my hair gets frizzy I use a silicone anti frizz agent. All major brands have them, just pick your favorite brand and give it a try. Just use a very little bit and comb through, then style. The one I use works better when applied to wet hair.
I also, get your ends trimmed regularly. I notice mine gets more frizzy when I need a trim.
i like the paul mitchel and sebastien recommendations. you can also try a pea size of olive oil...
garnier fructis sleek and shine shampoo/conditioner, i wash it at night and then sleep on it wet (smashes it pretty good lol) then straighten with a flat iron in the morning. no blow drying. and i only do that a couple times a week, i don't wash it every night. hth.
I've got issuesa with my hair too. Not too severe. My hair respons very well in dry weather, but NYC weather can be terrible on my hair.
Use a nourishing mask on hair about 3 times a week after shower.
-unfortunately I have to use a hair straightening iron or a round large barrel iron to pass through, and limit the frizz.I don't leave in to burn my hair. I pass it through as if I'm brushing it.
-Spray CHI a.k.a. Cationic Hydration Interlink by Farouk. And it's made in the USA!
I don't wash hair it everyday, as I think it may over dry. I keep up with it every two days. I like to keep the natural oils in my hair because I feel it's healthier. Besides, hair looks better the second day after you wash it.
Give it a try...
I just started using the Deva Curl product line. I have very thick, very coarse, very frizzy/curly hair. The Deve Curl Angel hair gel is the best I've ever used. Apply while your hair is soaking wet, then let it air dry. If you want it softer, then scrunch AFTER your hair is completely dry.
Check out www.naturallycurly.com. I've been following their no-poo system for 4 years now and haven't had a frizzy day yet. You basically eliminate sulfates from your routine - they will damage curly hair and cause frizz. By eliminating sulfates tho (which are the "poo" part of shampoo!), you need to ONLY use products that are water soluble. That means no silicones. NC has an extensive list of available items depending on your hair type.
Instead of using shampoo, you can use a cheap conditioner (I use Suave naturals) and the pads of your fingers to scrub your scalp. Water alone works well too - your hair shaft does not get dirty, just your scalp, and the products will wash out with water alone.
Another thing - never, ever towel dry your hair! There are some great cotton towels (like flour-sack material) that are NOT tufted and work great for absorbing moisture. I just wrap it on my head while I get ready and let my hair air-dry. Comes out perfect every time.
Finally - don't dry brush your curls. Ever. If you need to de-tangle, do it in the shower under running water. And when you get your hair product in, resist the urge to touch your hair, that will cause it to frizz as well.
My fav products for the current weather (when winter hits, I have a different regimen, since it's drier) - Rinse out conditioner is Curl Junkie Smoothing Conditioner, Leave in conditioner is Shea Moisture, Curl creme is Curl Junkie Curls in a Bottle, Gel is Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee (this gel dries crunchy, so I get some Jane Carter Solution Nourish and Shine, rub it on my hands and then scrunch my hair. Shiny ringlets that are frizz resistant!).
Try Fruitese's (sp?) leave in conditioner. That's my daughter's latest venture.
Frizz Ease & a Chi flat iron! I live in Spring & know aaaallllllllll about the humidity & my frizz head! Lol ;D
shampoo only every other day....regardless of the brand.
use conditioner on the alternate days.
I have very coarse hair & this works for me....
