Frisco Pharmacies

I am wondering if you go to a pharmacy that you love. I have had it with ours! They never have the medication ready on time and don't really seem to care - my husband spoke to the manager and he suggested calling it in 24 hrs ahead of time and blamed it on how many people live in this area, they are just too busy...
This is the CVS on Preston in Frisco.
Our doctors are at 121 and Coit and we live at Hillcrest and El Dorado so somewhere in that area would be great!
Has anyone used the Kroger Pharmacy on Preston?

What can I do next?

I use the Kroger at 121 and Coit in Plano. The pharmacist there is AMAZING. My doctor has a very bad habit of messing up my prescriptions and he always handles it. They ALWAYS go out of their way to be pleseant and extremely helpful. As a matter of fact I moved about 5 miles north and still go there to get my scripts. I have almost always been able to get my prescriptions while I shop so I don't have to come back another day. The store itself is greta also. I could go to Walmart and save some money, but its not worth the loss of selection and service.

B.: I have used the Kroger Pharmacy for 5 years and have been pleased them. I also worked for an internal medicine doctor in Frisco and they were a preferred when calling in the prescriptions. I never had problems with them misplacing faxes or not receiving messages. I have found their staff to be helpful and kind. I refused to use CVS or Walgreens after working for the doctor. Another pharmacy that was good (from a doctor stand point) was Tom Thumb at Preston and Lebannon

B....I love Target Pharmacy at 121 and Preston by Stonebriar Mall. They are always on time and very helpfu. You can have your doctor call in the prescription or email it to the Target and it will be waiting for you when you pick get there. That has been my experience anyway. Enjoy each and every day with Jaxon. I have 2 boys and they are awesome! One was born on 12/27/93.

We had nearly the EXACT same awful experience with the same pharmacy. Hop across the street (Rolater) to Kroger. Their drive thru pharmacy never has a wait and they couldn't be kinder. The hours are slightly more limited than CVS, but it has never been a problem for us. Do not stand for that treatment. It's not Texan!!!

the CVS in Little Elm is HORRIBLE also.
i asked my doctor about it and he said that CVS is the worst, Walgreens is slightly better, but that the pharmacies in the grocery stores are the best. good luck!

With the 'great' service they have been providing I too quit CVS and has moved everything to the Kroger on Preston. They are very nice, efficient and fast in delivering the medications.
Good luck!

The Target at 121 and Custer is amazing too! I recently had Amoxicillin filled for my daughter there. They have a very cool system of color-coding the bottles (if you have more than one kid, this is great!) but the best thing is the bottle insert they put in the top and a syringe-style dispenser so you have zero waste and no margin for error in measuring.

Plus, the kicker is that the pharmacist called me a few days later to make sure my daughter was doing ok on the med and making sure we didn't have any questions or concerns!

I was STUNNED and told them I was absolutely blown away, as Walgreens where I normally go doesn't care if you live or die. Target won me over, even though it is not the most convenient, at least they indicate that they have some connection to their patrons.

HTH,

That CVS on Preston is by far the WORST pharmacy I've ever used. And it may be CVS in general because I had a poor experience with them out of state also. I started using Walgreen on Preston and so far so good.

We've used the Walgreen's at McDermott and Independence a lot and never had a problem. They often fill my kids' prescriptions in less than an hour. Our pediatrician is at 121 and Coit too.

I know exactly what you are talking about! I will DIE before I will EVER go back to any CVS or Walgreens. The only Kroger pharmacy I have used was off of the Toll way and Windhaven. They were pretty good. I now ONLY use Little Elm Pharmacy. The fact that I can pull up to the pharmacy and hand them a prescription and wait MAYBE five minutes to receive prescription in hand just tickles me pink! The pharmacy is family owned. My family's prescriptions have never been lost, they are fast, friendly, funny and I just love them and obviously tell everyone I know (or don't know...lol)

Here is an example of why I love Little Elm Pharmacy so much. I guarantee you will not find this type of customer service at CVS or Walgreens. A few weeks ago I received an email from the pharmacist that my husband had a new prescription ready. I thanked him and by him contacting me I remembered I needed to order my son's allergy meds but I had no refills. I told the pharmacist this and he emailed me back about ten minutes later that he had sent a fax to my pediatrician for the refills. I did nothing! I didn't need the medicine that day, and he had to order my son's allergy meds, but I picked up the day after. This service also brings back great child hood memories of my home town pharmacy. My grandma and I would go into the pharmacy whenever we were together and have a 7-up from the soda fountain.

See if there is a Wal-Mart Neighborhood store and pharmacy near you. I have always been happy with my scripts being filled there.

We have quit using that CVS as well. I have moved everything to the Super Target on Eldorado, they are super fast and very friendly. Also if I've needed meds late at night, we used the 24 hr Walgrens at Preston and Lebannon, they are not so fast, but are still very friendly. CVS lost my husbands insulin RX that my DR faxed to them. I will never used them again.

Good Luck,

My family has used the Kroger Pharmacy at Preston and Stonebrook/Rolater for years. You will receive excellent service there. We have never experienced a problem and we have used them since the store was built. Plus you will enjoy the drive-thru!! It is best to drop it off and then go back to get it but you will still get your meds in a reasonable amount of time. Another added bonus is they take competitors coupons!!

Sista! I am soooooooo with you on that one. We use the CVS on Legacy and Lebanon and have the same exact problem. Walgreens is no better. We too are thinking of moving over to Kroger Pharmacy, of course the one closer to our house on Lebanon and Legacy. We are willing to give it a shot, also the other alternative if your insurance offers it is mail-in prescriptions which is good for meds you take for 3 months at a time. It saves money. Good luck!

Have you tried the Kroger pharmacy at 121 and Coit? I have used them a few times and they have always been quick and efficient.

Not all pharmacies are the same. Please do not judge all CVS's. I am a CVS pharmacist and my store runs VERY well. There are good ones and bad ones in ALL the chains.

We go to a CVS at Lebanon and Legacy. They are terrible too! Very unfriendly staff who can't even say "Hello". They just glare at you until you tell them what you need. I would like to know of a good pharmacy too.
