Anyone have any great tips for reheating french fries? I doubt they can be back to their former glory, but may a little better than what I just heated up. I tried the oven at 400 degrees. They are ok, but not great. Covered then in cheese and made 'em a little better. So share any tried and true french fry reheating tricks and tips. :) TIA mama!

A toaster oven does the trick. Use the pan not the rack, turn it on Broil for a couple of minutes.

Just spray a cookie sheet with Pam or whatever and then spread the fries out. Set the oven on broil and put the fries close to the element. Let them cook for a minute or two and then flip them. Repeat for a couple of times until they are crispy and fabulous again.

Enjoy.

A conventional oven is the best, and I think 375 - 400 degrees is good, but nothing will ever restore them to their former glory. I like your idea of adding cheese to them, too ; )

Have you tried heating them in a skillet on the stove? I've never tried it with fries, but I think it's the best way to reheat pizza so the crust isn't soggy. I put it in the microwave first just enough to knock off the chill and then throw in in the skillet until it's hot. Not sure if it will work with the fries, but it's worth a shot!

I have a convection toaster oven and that usually works better than the standard oven. About 6 minutes at 375. Or I have tossed them in a skillet before no additional oils or anything and heated them till they lose that sort of anemic soggy look :-).
