I made strawberry banana smoothies and then froze them in regular glasses. I then would pull one out and put it in the fridge before bed. It was perfect in the morning.
I've been trying to have a smoothie every day for lunch. Great way to get my fruits & veg. Can I make a double batch and freeze half for the next day? Maybe let it thaw a bit and then reblend to make it slushy again?
If you've tried it, let me know your results. Also, are there some things that freeze better or worse than others? I usually put in greens (spinach or kale), berries, mangoes or peaches, coconut water, and a little yogurt. Sometimes I throw in a little orange or grapefruit juice or even a bit of raw oatmeal.

Check out the "100 Days of Real Food" blog. The mom makes and freezes smoothies for her kiddos lunches. They defrost just enough by lunchtime. Sounds great to me.
Every time I have tried it has been a failure.
They sound great! I don't have any firsthand experience with this but I think fresh each day would just taste better. Even fruit you cut up and leave in the fridge aren't as good the next day...
I used to work in the corporate office for a big smoothie chain, and I can tell you that it was standard practice to freeze smoothies. For instance, if they were going to go do an on-site event (sell them at a football game, etc), they'd make several hundred smoothies in the few days before the event, and put them in the freezer. They were perfect the day of the event! Now, they didn't have spinach or kale on the menu, but they did have berries (of all kinds), mangoes, peaches, coconut water and yogurt - so you are definitely good to go on those ones. :)
